ACF BARNES W. ROSE, JR. AND EVA ROSE NICHOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Barnes W. Rose, Jr. and Eva Rose Nickol Scholarship Fund was created in 2003 in memory of Mr. Rose and in honor of Eva.

Barnes was a 1951 graduate of Albuquerque High School and also a 1957 graduate of West Point. Eva is a longtime New Mexico resident.

The scholarship fund will award a scholarship to an Albuquerque High School graduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of these majors: Medicine or health-related Science, Technology, Mathematics (STEM).

A concentration will be given to those pursuing engineering-related careers.

Eligibility:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.6 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • You must attend a college or university to pursue a degree in one of the STEM majors.

This scholarship opportunity was established in 1993 by Albuquerque businessman C.E. Woodcock and his spouse, Dixie, to and help students of exceptional abilities in the fields of science and math.

These Scholarships is open to metro area high school graduating seniors (includes Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance Counties).

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA:

  • Must have strong math and/or science credentials
  • Have plans  to enroll full-time at a college/university

AFDO SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 1st, Yearly. 

AMOUNT: $2,500

In 1981, AFDO established a scholarship fund dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Law on the Protection of Food and Drugs.

George M. Bourditet scholarships, Betsy Woodward scholarships, and Dennis S. Rooney scholarships holds annually to eligible high school graduating students.

The beneficiary must demonstrate his intention to participate in research, control, quality or training in areas related to certain aspects of food, medicine or consumer safety.

Show leadership skills. You must have a minimum of GPA 3.0 during the first two years after you have received high school graduation.

ALASKA SPACE GRANT PROGRAM UNDERGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 16, Yearly.

AMOUNT: $5,000

The scholarships support research projects that promote NASA’s vision by advancing STEM career goals, empowering STEM personnel, including the United States, at the NASA mission for new and sustainable students.

Students who have received awards in previous competitions can register for the next competition and still receive prize money.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY (ACMS) MEDICAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 9th, 2023

AMOUNT: $2,000

Eligibility: – Applicants must be in one of the following areas:

Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Washington, or Westmoreland The candidate must be in Pennsylvania for at least 12 months before entering as a medical student.

You have to register at a medical school in Pennsylvania. Candidates must register for the third or fourth year of medical school.

Documents:

  • Application form for a scholarship;
  • Two letters of recommendation from non-family members who document the applicant’s integrity, Interpersonal skills, and potential as a future doctor.

Note: A letter of recommendation must be written by a professor at a medical school or a professor at a medical college or in a letter stating that you are a full-time student in a third or fourth year of college.

Alumni or Alumnus Association Scholarship Fund of the initially known Albert Einstein Medical Center Nursing School of Philadelphia is always available to provide scholarships to students demonstrating financial need in the case of a nursing degree.

The Annie S. Alexander Memorial Fellowship offers a non-renewable award to students who want to earn a bachelor’s degree in tertiary education from an accredited graduate school.

AOTF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Scholarship award is the oldest of the Foundation’s programs backdate to the establishment of AOTF in 1965.

In early 1980s AOTF expanded the program to include partnerships between individual (groups) state associations and AOTF to grant scholarships on their behalf.

The Summer Science Scholarship Program APS supports 24 summer scholarships. This scholarship is designed to help students who work on a regular basis to work in established institutions.

Eligibility: – Applicants must be a GPA of 3.0 or higher. – Candidates should be full-time students with little or no laboratory testing.

AQHA MARGARET A. HAINES TELEPHONY SCHOLARSHIP
