About French Embassy Master Degree and Ph.D. Scholarship for Ghanaian Students

French Embassy in Accra is a public institution (EPIC) that promotes higher education and manages the reception and international mobility of students, researchers, experts, and guests.

The higher education and research institutions contribute to the policy guidelines of the agency through the “Campus France Forum.”  France Embassy supports higher education and research institutions in their international development through events of higher training promotion in France and overseas.

The French Embassy scholarships can wholly or partially finance selected applicants’ annual tuition fees, health insurance, and Schengen visa fees. The round-trip airfare and monthly stipend towards living expenses can further be covered.

Co-funding opportunities are strongly encouraged to strengthen the collaboration between South African and French institutions and the public and private sectors.

The French Embassy in South Africa has supported just over forty-five students during the academic year 2023-2024 with their Master’s and Doctorate degrees.

Some scholarship holders will continue their studies in 2023 at French Higher Education institutions, while others will return as France Alumni ambassadors to invest their acquired skills in South Africa.
