AMINEF-Fulbright scholarships for study in Indoneia(FULLY FUNDED)

AMINEF-Fulbright scholarships for study in Indoneia (SHARE THIS)

Brief Description

AMINEF cooperates with the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (RISTEK-DIKTI) in offering a special program for current lecturers at Indonesian universities who seek support for graduate study and research in the United States. The programs on offer—for MA and PhD degree study, and for doctoral dissertation or postgraduate research—parallel the core Fulbright scholarship opportunities for Indonesians (see Grants for Indonesian > Fulbright Scholarships). They share roughly the same eligibility requirements and benefits, too, with some exceptions. Most importantly, applicants to this program must present proof in the form of a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional, NIDN, that they are permanent faculty members at an Indonesian state or private university under RISTEK-DIKTI.

General Requirements

The applicants should:

  • Be Indonesian citizens and not permanent residents or the US, or be currently living in the US
  • Be a lecturer at an Indonesian state or private university holding a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional, or NIDN
  • Fulfill other requirements established by RISTEK-DIKTI and set out yearly in its online scholarships guide
  • Possess leadership qualities and show experience in community service
  • Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to, her or his chosen field of study
  • Be proficient in English
  • Have an outstanding academic record
  • Demonstrate that she/he can realistically accomplish full-time graduate study or conduct research in the US
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright scholarship program
  • Be willing to sign an agreement with RISTEK-DIKTI promising to return to serve his/her home institution for a certain number of years before retirement upon the completion of the scholarship program, according to prevailing RISTEK-DIKTI requirements
