Effingham High Schools
Effingham County High School is one of two public high schools located in Effingham County, Georgia, northwest of Savannah. The school was created in 1956 and serves approximately 2000 students in grades 9-12 in the Effingham County School District.
The school mascot is the Rebel, and the school colours are red, navy, and white. However, Effingham High School is the only high school in the Effingham Community Unified School District 40.
Students at Effingham High School have the opportunity to take part in 23 different dual credit courses, produce award winning theatre shows, earn athletic scholarships to major universities and are awarded over 1 million dollars in academic scholarships annually.

Effingham College & Career Academy
Effingham College & Career Academy (ECCA) opened in fall 2010, as one of Georgia’s first college and career academies. In 2008, the Effingham County Board of Education applied for and received a $3.2 million grant from the State of Georgia, which was administered through the Technical College System of Georgia.
The new facility encompassed 44,034 square feet of state-of-the-art Career, Technical, Agricultural Education (CTAE) classrooms, and labs. The costs of the building project were paid in full by the $3.2 million grant and ESPLOST funds upon its opening in fall 2010.
The building was one of the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certified buildings in Coastal Georgia. The facility grew with a 47,000 square feet Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) addition that opened in fall 2016.
On August 2016, Effingham County School district launched its new STEM Academy at the Effingham College and Career Academy.

Admission into Effingham County Schools
The registration centre of Effingham Country Schools, 306 N Ash St in Springfield, Georgia opens from Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 4:30pm.
At Central Registration, new students seeking admission into Effingham County Schools and those who have been off the roll for 10+ consecutive days are registered.
However, students transferring from one Effingham County School to another without missing 10+ consecutive days, may report to the new school without going through Central Registration.
