About Endeavour Scholarship 2022
The Australian Government Department of Education and Training administers the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships.
The objective of the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships is to provide individuals of academic merit with high-quality learning opportunities that contribute to Australia’s standing as a world leader in education and research.
The program supports Australia’s first National Strategy for International Education which sets out a 10-year plan for developing Australia’s role as a global leader in education, training, and research.
Funding
Funding for the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships program is provided by the Australian Government.
The program typically offers three–quarters of the scholarships and fellowships funded each year to overseas citizens, with support ranging from short-term fellowships or research placements to full postgraduate degrees.
Australians receive support to undertake targeted research and professional development overseas.
Endeavour Scholarship International Category:
There are a lot of categories associated with the endeavor scholarship program in Australia which international students and also Thai students can benefit from, these categories includes;
The Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship provides financial support for international applicants to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Master’s or Ph.D. level either by coursework or research in any field in Australia for up to four years.
The VET Scholarship provides financial support for international applicants to undertake vocational education at a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree level in any field in Australia for up to two and a half years. Vocational education and training provide occupational or work-related knowledge and skills.
The courses are directly related to a trade, occupation, or ‘vocation’ in which the applicant participates. These courses exclude degrees and higher-level programs normally delivered by universities.
The Endeavour Research Fellowship provides financial support for international postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows to undertake short-term research (4-6 months) towards an overseas Master’s, Ph.D., or postdoctoral research in any field in Australia.
The Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowship provides financial support for postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from participating Asian countries to undertake short-term research (4-6 months) in any field, in Australia.
The Endeavour Australia India Education Council (AIEC) Research Fellowship provides financial support for postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from India to undertake short-term research (4-6 months) in Australia.
The Endeavour Executive Fellowship provides financial support for professional development opportunities (1-4 months) for high achievers in business, industry, education or government for international applicants.
The Endeavour Executive Fellowship focuses on learning and building skills and knowledge through a host work environment in the applicant’s field or area of expertise rather than through formal enrolment in a study program.
What you need to know about the Endeavor Scholarship for Thailand Students
Endeavor Scholarships and Fellowships, the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program, is open for citizens around the world to apply from April – 30 June every year.
This scholarship program is open to all fields of study and provides full financial support for international students including Thai citizens.
Since the program’s inception in 2007, around 177 Thai scholars have been granted Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships.
The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships also provide opportunities for Australians to undertake research and professional development in Thailand.
Apart from furthering the study and professional development, the Endeavour Scholarship program is designed to strengthen ties between participating countries.
Four Australians will also be studying in Thailand as award winners, joining 160 students who will be undertaking study and work placements there under the New Colombo Plan.
Endeavour Research Fellowship Worth
Benefits from this scholarship include
- travel allowance: $3,000 (provision to pay up to $4,500 under special circumstances)
- establishment allowance: $2,000 (fellowships) or $4,000 (scholarships)
- monthly stipend: $3,000 (paid up to the maximum category duration on a pro-rata basis)
- health insurance for the full category duration (OSHC for international recipients)
- travel insurance (excluding during program for international recipients)
Endeavor scholarship recipients will also receive tuition fees paid up to the maximum study/research duration on a pro-rata basis. Tuition includes student service and amenities fees.
