Are you willing to influence your community with your artistic talents? The Walgreens Expressions Challenge 2023 application was started at the proposal of their Wal Greens Community Task Force.
The group had been alerted by the rising incidents of sexually transmitted infections (STDs), including HIV and AIDS, among students ages 14 to 18.
How, the group wondered, could students find creative means to express themselves concerning some rather serious issues while also becoming more connected with their own peers in the procedure?

About Expressions Challenge Initiative
At its heart, the Expressions Challenge 2023 is all about guiding students to create smarter life choices about their overall well-being. There is no way of reflection more personal or self-revelatory in relation to art.
By combining artistic saying with individual student study, pupil empowers students to positively influence their classmates, both school and community. Teens are invited to use their own voices during art to communicate their own perspectives on topics involving bullying, self-esteem, and sex responsibility.

Eligibility for Scholarship
The Walgreens Expressions Challenge is for legal U.S. residents residing in the Chicago metropolitan area of IL and residing in the St. Louis metropolitan area of MO, teens currently enrolled in high school.

Eligible Nationality

Scholarship Worth
Current High School teens while in the Chicago or St. Louis metropolitan areas can enter to win as much as $2,000 in cash.
Three first-place and three second-place winners will be selected in each town.

Scholarship Application Procedures
Are you currently a high school teen in the Chicago or St. Louis area? Have You got an opinion regarding Sex-ting, Self-esteem, Bullying, Teen Pregnancy, STD prevention, Abstinence, Sexual Responsibility Awareness, or maybe another thing?
Have you ever talked about these problems with your friends? Which are your thoughts on such topics? How would you creatively express your view to educate your friends as well as other teens on these vital concerns some teens can face, and develop consciousness?
We want to understand your thinking! We are asking you to creatively express your view on topics that impact you or your co-workers. Use the above questions as a way to form your comment. Your entry will probably help start an inspirational movement among your associates and other adolescents nationwide to encourage healthy decisions for a healthy future.
All Entries must be in English. Only original music or music licensed by the entrant will be allowed in his/her video.
All persons depicted in submitted videos or photos must be 13 years of age or older as of the date of Entry for the Entry to be entered into the Contest. Entrant and all persons depicted in the video or photo must attest that he/she has read, understood and agreed to these Official Contest Rules.
Individual Entrant, not entering the contest as Group, must be able to provide a release form for each person appearing in his/her video or photo submission of his/her Entry. The sponsor must be able to contact each person appearing in the potential winner’s video or photo. Download the Appearance Release Form in the “Downloads”.
A limit of four (4) people in addition to the entrant [five (5) people total] may be depicted in a video or photo submission.
Entries must not have been previously posted where they could have been viewable by the public.
Entrants can submit one entry per category whether as an individual or with a group of up to five (5) people.
A Group of up to five (5) people total is welcome to enter. Each Group must download the “Group” Entry Form(s) in the “Download” section. Each team member must be included on the downloaded Group Entry Form(s). A Group can submit entries online or via mail. If a Group submits its entry online, only one group member can submit the entry on behalf of the group. This group member will have to select the “Group” tab on the online entry form, and will then be prompted to upload the Group Entry Form(s), which will verify the four (4) additional Group members’ participation. Prizes will be split evenly among Group members.
Entries will be judged based on category, originality, writing style, and quality of work.
Submissions with explicit images and/or profane language, nudity, and any form of discrimination are not eligible for entry and will automatically be disqualified.
The use of the Walgreens brand in the entry is strictly prohibited. Entries that feature and/or mention the Walgreens logo or brand in any form will be disqualified.
