FIG Foundation Ph.D. Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries, Denmark

FIG Foundation is delighted to invite applications for its Foundation Scholarships. These FIG Foundation scholarships are exclusively available for Ph.D. students who the citizens of developing countries.

To be eligible, they must be studying for a Ph.D. degree and registered solely in a surveying/geomatics academic program that teaches surveying. Each of the scholarship winners will receive a grant of 3,000 euros. To apply, entries must be received by 1 February every year.

About The FIG Foundation Ph.D. Scholarships for Students

The FIG Foundation will provide scholarships of up to 4,000 euros to Ph.D. students. Successful applicants will qualify for a further grant of up to 3,000 euros to attend and present a peer-reviewed paper at a FIG conference.

Applications will be judged on the quality of the application and need. If two excellent applications are considered equal quality, applications from low-income and lower-middle-income countries will be preferred.

Eligibility For The FIG Foundation Ph.D. Scholarships for Students

To be eligible for this FIG Foundation Scholarship, students must satisfy the given criteria as follow:

  • Must be studying for a Ph.D. degree and registered solely in a surveying/geomatics academic program that teaches surveying
  • Reside in a country listed by the World Bank as a low-income, lower-middle, or upper-middle-income economy
  • Must have had a paper accepted by a peer-reviewed international journal based on their doctoral research project; applicants should be the lead author, and the article should be co-authored with their supervisor, should not have submitted their final thesis at the application deadline.
