Today, Udacity and Google are excited to announce a new scholarship program that will provide world-class learning opportunities to 50,000 people across the United States. Africa and India.

The Audacity Google Scholarship program 2023 is part of the Grow with Google initiative that Google CEO Sundar Pichai unveiled at a press event.

We are now past the era where technical skills only apply “in tech.” In today’s world, skills such as web and mobile development are relevant to every industry—not just Silicon Valley.

Nearly 90% of software developers in the US live outside Silicon Valley, and there are several open software development jobs—more than 220K across the country as of  2016.

The average salary for one of those jobs is $104K, and you don’t need a computer science degree to get hired. What you do need, are skills, experience, and guidance—all of which you’ll gain through this scholarship challenge.

In this post, we will show you how to pass the Udacity Google scholarship.

What you need to know about Udacity Google Scholarship

The Google Audacity Program, Grow with Google aims to help Americans with the skills they need to prepare for and find a job. This new scholarship initiative will provide every recipient with the chance to learn new skills, launch or advance their career, and unlock their potential. In the past year alone, Udacity and Google have combined to offer 130K scholarships to people worldwide.

There are two phases to this new scholarship program:

Phase 1: 50,000 Challenge Scholarships

The first phase of this Audacity Google scholarship provides three months of access to one of four Udacity courses: Intro to HTML + CSS, Offline Web Applications, Android Basics, and Developing Android Apps.

Audacity Google Scholarship recipients in these courses will receive a robust community experience supported by Udacity mentors and dedicated Community Managers; they will also have a chance to qualify for a full Nano-degree scholarship.

Phase 2: 5,000 Nano-degree Scholarships

The top 5,000 students in the program will earn an additional 6-month scholarship to one of four Nano-degree programs: Front-End Web Developer, Mobile Web Specialist, Android Basics, and Android Developer.

These Audacity Google Scholarship programs offer a world-class curriculum, a groundbreaking classroom experience, industry-leading instructors, expert project reviews, and a full suite of career services.

I can say that audacity is one of the biggest online schools, you can attend. collaborating with Google is a masterpiece.

Udacity is a for-profit educational organization founded by Sebastian Thrun, David Stevens, and Mike Sokolsky, offering massive open online courses (MOOCs). According to Thrun, the name Udacity originates from the company’s desire to be “audacious for you, the student”.

While it originally focused on offering university-style courses, it now focuses more on professional vocational courses.

In November 2012, founder Sebastian Thrun won the Smithsonian American Ingenuity in Education Award for his work with Udacity.

Each of the courses offered by audacity comprises several units comprising video lectures with closed captioning, integrated quizzes to help students understand concepts and reinforce ideas, as well as follow-up homework, which promotes a “learn by doing” model.

Programming classes use the Python language; automated grading programs on the Udacity servers grade programming assignments.

Eligibility for Udacity Google Scholarship

To apply for this Audacity Scholarship, you must be at least 18 years old and live in the US. You’ll begin by choosing your learning path, either Web Developer or Android Developer.

Once you’re accepted, we’ll place you in one of two tracks, depending on your existing skills and experience, either Beginner or Intermediate.

After that, the learning begins! Finally, top students from each track will earn full scholarships to one of our Android or Web Development Nano-degree programs.

There are 25000 available seats for the web developer path. If accepted, you’ll be placed into one of two tracks based on your experience level, which are

The beginner track: with up to 15000 available seats. Top 1,500 students from the Beginner Track will be awarded scholarships to the Front-End Web Developer Nano-degree Program.

The intermediate Track: In this track Some programming experience required. What you will learn includes:

• 3-month access to Offline Web Applications with support from Udacity mentors.
• Build next-generation and responsive web applications and grow as a developer.

Top 1,500 students from the Beginner Track will be awarded scholarships to the Front-End Web Developer Nano Degree Program.

5 things you should do to get selected for the 2nd phase of your Udacity Google Scholarship

From the pen of a former scholar of the previous Audacity Scholarship: A guide to help you get into the top 10% of scholars who will earn the additional 6-month Nano-degree scholarship.

First of all, congratulations on getting selected for the scholarship challenge. You surely did a good job with your application! You can be proud of yourself! Many people got rejected, so if you’re in, feel privileged!

Whether you were selected for the Front-End Web Developer, the Mobile Web Specialist, the Android Basics, or the Android Developer track, this article will help you get into the next phase, where the real magic happens.
So, let’s see what you need to do to get in!

#1. Get rid of your Fear and/or Disappointment

When the scholarship starts off, you may feel confused or overwhelmed. You may even think the whole scholarship experience is chaos, especially when you join your scholarship #Slack channel and see the tremendous number of posts flooding in. Here are a few reactions you may experience:

• Based on your skill set, you might think this is not for you; take part because the initial video lessons seem to be too easy or too hard
• On your schedule, you might feel that you are at a disadvantage since there are a lot of people who can participate in full time
• Based on your expectations, you might feel this is not for you.

Well, let me tell you I had a similar feeling 9 months ago when our Android Basics Nanodegree scholarship started. I won’t say that your worries and fears are not valid, but you definitely have to overcome them. And remember this: All of your fellow scholarship students likely have the same feelings.

#2. Start working

You had your reason to apply. You wanted to learn something new. You should not forget this. Generally, if you want something terrible, you don’t even need a scholarship, right? You can keep listing all your cons and problems, but they will not get you closer to your goal.

So, stop it. Start watching the videos and get your quizzes and projects (if there are any) done. This whole seemingly chaotic situation will calm down soon.

#3. Understand the Selection Process

You can get so much more from Udacity than a simple video course and a credential. The Udacity community is something that you want to be part of (There are a thousand reasons why this is true;

I won’t go into details now, trust me on this!). And Udacity takes it seriously to build it even further. That’s why contributing to this mission is the second most valued aspect in the selection process.

But let’s get more specific and see what the two aspects are, listed according to their importance:

I. Successful completion of course material and meaningful attempts at all quizzes and projects.

(Note: there is no reward for finishing first or early)

II. Support of fellow students and being active in forums and on Slack.

This makes a lot of sense. But how will recipients be selected? Well, in the case of course completion and the forum, Udacity has all the data they need.

But how about Slack? You’ll have mentors, moderators and community managers whose one job is to help and engage students.

However, Udacity also monitors the participants, and I think they prepare a list of the ones who are putting time into helping others.

So here are the 5 things you need to do to get selected for the 2nd Phase of Audacity Scholarship

• Overcome your initial fear/confusion/disappointment
• Complete your course material to 100%
• Use the forum: Read, ask questions, answer questions, post your work, start useful threads/topics, and you’ll be good.
• Participate in Slack: Udacity monitors all channels. Try to spend at least 10 minutes each day to see what’s going on in your country channel, in the announcement channel, and in the other channels, you might be interested in.
• Enjoy! It’s always important!

That’s it! Easy, right?

Once again: I understand all your worries and problems, but you know exactly what you must do now! I know it’s hard, I know it takes time, but it is absolutely worth it.

Now go and do your best! Quality over quantity. Try to be helpful rather than a spammer. Complete all tasks in the classroom. You’re going to love the second phase!
