A customer’s Amazon Wish List is a list of all the things they want. Products are posted to a wish list so that friends and family can see them and possibly buy them. Once a product is purchased, it is automatically removed from the list. This eliminates the chance of duplicates.
A modification is that Wish lists can now be edited by recipients, as long as the creator of the wish list permits it. All the consumer has to do is look up the name or email address of a friend. The consumer should be able to see this wish list as long as it is public.
FAQs
On your Wish List, your address is kept confidential. The only information that appears when someone buys something from you is your name and city.
For several weeks, your present purchases will be kept a secret. The item will remain Unpurchased in your shopping cart. If you attempt to purchase an item that has previously been gifted to you, you will be warned to avoid making duplicate purchases.
When someone buys something from someone else’s desire list, the item is sent to the inventor of the wish list. We’ll go over this in more detail later, but in general, a person will only receive alerts if they’ve set them up to send an alert if item on their list is purchased.
You have two options: you can make specific wish lists private (so no one can view them) or you can make your entire profile private (so others can still access your wish list but not on your profile page).
From your list page, click More > Manage list.
Under Privacy, select Public or Shared. With Public, anyone can search for and find the list; with Shared only the people with the direct link can see it. …
Click Save Changes.
