How To Change Your LinkedIn URL

Log in to your LinkedIn profile.
Click “Edit public profile & URL” in the upper right corner,
Click “Edit public profile & URL” in the upper right corner, 
Click on the pencil symbol next to “Edit URL.”
Customize the URL for your public profile.
When you’re done, click “save.”

Select the Settings option from the drop-down menu. Click the edit icon next to the Page URL if the page has already been published. To ensure that a redirect will be generated from the page’s previous URL to its new one, click Update in the dialog box. Select a domain from the Domain dropdown menu to alter the domain of your page.

At the top of your LinkedIn homepage, click the Me icon to see your profile. On your profile page, select Edit public profile & URL at the right section of your screen.

The default URL would look like- “linkedin.com/pub/yourname/29/890/2b9/”. But an in-crowd LinkedIn user would have a URL such as “linkedin.com/in/their-name.” With a URL like this, you can look like a savvy LinkedIn user and it would look better wherever you post it.

View Profile by tapping on your profile photo. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Contact section. Locate your public profile URL under the Your Profile section. The LinkedIn URL begins with www.linkedin.com/in.

Right-click anywhere on the link and select Edit Hyperlink from the shortcut menu.
Select the text in the Text to display box in the Edit Hyperlink dialog.
Click OK after typing the text you want to use for the link.

The error message “LinkedIn URL must be a valid URL” means that your link lacks all of the required components for the system to recognize it as a legitimate URL. You may be receiving this error message because your link does not begin with “https://.”

A custom URL is a URL that you may share with your audience that is shorter and easier to remember. These can be based on your current display name, a historic username, or a web domain that has been linked and verified. Your account must have at least 100 subscribers in order to create a custom URL for your channel. To be eligible, you must be at least 30 days old.

It’s easier to discover you if you customize your public profile URL. It’s a quick and easy approach to set yourself apart from the rest of the LinkedIn crowd. This is especially true for those with common names. This increases your trustworthiness.
