To control your LinkedIn public profile settings from your desktop;
- Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, then click View profile.
- Click Edit public profile & URL on the right side of the page.
- To hide your profile from public view, toggle Your profile’s public visibility to Off.
- To hide specific settings, toggle the specific settings to Off to hide that information from your public profile. Changes are saved automatically.

You won’t be able to see who has viewed your profile if you have a Basic (free) account and want to browse in private mode. If you have a Premium account, you can still see the list of persons who have viewed your profile in the last 90 days while browsing in private mode.
Select “Edit Your Public Profile” from the “Privacy & Settings” menu. Select “Make my public profile invisible to everyone” on the following screen.
No other information about you will be shared with the individual whose profile you viewed if you browse in private mode. Your profile characteristics, such as work title, business, school, and industry, will be visible to the member you’re browsing in semi-private browse mode.
On the right-hand side of your screen, select “Edit public profile & URL.” 4. Toggle the lever next to “Your profile’s public visibility” to off under the “Edit Visibility” option on the left side of the screen to hide it from non-LinkedIn users and search engines.
