Indian Engineering Olympiad | UPDATED

The Indian Engineering Olympiad is an aptitude test done at the national level to provide a competitive ranking of engineering students nationally.

Students from various engineering schools, including top-ranked universities/colleges, take this exam to prove their engineering knowledge.

The Indian Engineering Olympiad was launched in 2015 by Thinkcell Private Limited. Since then, two editions of the Indian Engineering Olympiad have been successfully organized.

The IEO exam takes place in more than 65 centers in India. More than 1,800,000 students from engineering schools nationwide are expected to attend the third edition of the Indian Engineering Olympiad to test their skills.

Level/Field of Study

The IEO 2023 is open to 2-4 engineering students for their undergraduate studies.

Host Nationality

Indian Engineering Olympiad, IEO 2023, is an initiative of Thinkcell Learning Solutions, a national platform for engineering students who can demonstrate their skills in their respective industries. It provides a real aptitude test for engineers in their respective fields.

Eligible Nationality

The Indian Engineering Olympiad 2023 is open to eligible Indian students.

Scholarship Worth

The benefits successful applicants will receive are broken down below:

  • Students who earn 81 to 100 points at the Olympic Games receive a 50% discount.
  • Students earning between 51 and 80 points receive a 30% discount.
  • Those who earn between 21 and 50 points receive a 20% and 10% discount for all applicants.

Students will also be selected for various achievements in this  IEO 2023 exam.

  • Topper Certificates – The top three performers in each engineering stream receive the Topper Certificate.
  • Medals of Excellence – 100 medals are distributed to the good performers in each engineering field.
  • Certificate of Participation – Participants will also receive a “certificate of participation.”
  • Financial Payments/Scholarships – Partners and organizers of the IEO exam award scholarships to the participating students.

Eligibility Requirements

  • The applicant must be an engineering student.
  • He/she should be a student in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of engineering.
  • It should be noted that engineering students who have already taken the course or graduated cannot apply.
  • The applicant must be admitted to an engineering school recognized by the AICTE in India.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible students can register for IEO 2023 by completing an online form and paying a 100 Rs / -fee. Outgoing applicants can click the link below and register directly for the IEO.

  • Interested students can apply online for the IEO exam.
  • Applicants must register by providing basic information such as their name, address, phone number, and valid email ID.
  • The login ID and password will be sent to the declarer’s email ID upon registration.
  • These credentials will allow applicants to access the IEO 2023 application form.
  • He/she must complete all the specified columns of the application form.
  • The applicant must also upload scanned copies of all required documents.
  • Finally, the application fee of ₹100 must be paid.
  • Application fees can be paid online via internet banking, credit card, or debit card.
  • Tickets for the exam hall will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. A candidate must download the ticket and bring it to the examination center.
  • The hall tickets for IEO will be sent. If an applicant does not receive the ticket from the hall, he/she must email the IEO organizers at [email protected].

Application Deadline

Unfortunately, the application for this scholarship is over, as the deadline was on January 28th. Also, the IEO 2023 edition is NOT currently ongoing. However, this page will be updated as soon as applications start.

Examination Plan

  • The number of sections – The question paper contains two sections. A candidate must attempt questions about both sections.
  • The total number of questions – There are a total of 50 questions.
  • Time Allocation – The questions must be completed within 90 minutes.

Syllabus for 2nd year engineering students –

The 2nd year engineering program is common to all engineering student programs. The papers are as follows –
