The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg is inviting applications for Grants for International Students. Grants are awarded to exchange students from English speaking partner universities, who plan to come to Oldenburg for a semester abroad in 2017. The purpose of this grant program is to strengthen its international ties and to increase the number of international exchange students. Applicants are to keep to the stated eligibility criteria to ensure consideration for this grant award.
The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg is a university located in Oldenburg, Germany. It is one of the most important and highly regarded educational facilities in northwestern Germany and specialises in interdisciplinary & sustainable development studies and renewable energy studies with focus on solar and wind energy.
Course Level: Fellowships are awarded to come to Oldenburg for a semester abroad in 2017.
Study Subject: Fellowships are available to study the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: Suitable students will be awarded a grant of 2.000 EUR per stay. Each grant is to be used for costs related to the stay abroad (e.g. travel costs, housing, books).
Scholarship can be taken in Germany
Eligibility: All students of English speaking partner universities, who come to the University of Oldenburg within the framework of a cooperation agreement and were selected for exchange by their home universities, are entitled to apply.
Nationality: International students are eligible to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

- Application form
- Letter of Motivation (inc. study plan)
- Letter of recommendation by lecturer from home University (max. 1 page)
- Application for Registration as an Exchange Student
Please Notice: the student is required to keep and submit all relevant receipts (e.g. travel bills, letter of confirmation, statement of the payment of rent). The International Office will reimburse the student’s expenses up to 2.000 Euro based on these receipts.
