What is the Accenture Hiring Process?

Accenture has a long process both in the Accenture hiring process and Accenture interview process. After the application process, you must go through other processes.

These entail:

Online Immersive Assessment

If your initial application is accepted, you will be sent a link to an Accenture portal to complete an online assessment.

These tests are unique to Accenture and are designed to assess candidates’ cognitive function and ability, as well as their technical proficiency and business acumen.

They also provide an opportunity to learn more about Accenture and its operation. Depending on the program you have applied for, you will be given various assessments and graded on a variety of key capabilities.

These may include:

  • Collaboration via the internet
  • Client partner and technology advocate
  • The following are likely to be included in the evaluations:
  • Tests of situational judgment (STJ)
  • Reasoning with numbers
  • Reasoning logically
  • Tests of Situational Judgment

These are intended to determine whether you possess the core values that Accenture seeks.

Additionally

You will be presented with difficult situations that you may face in your role at Accenture and will be asked to select an appropriate response. The answer you select will assist the assessors in determining whether you possess the skills and characteristics they seek.

You may discover that all possible responses to a given situation have merit and could be appropriate options. The difficulty lies in distinguishing between those that are practical and those that Accenture desires.

In each situation, you can only choose one response, and there may be a trade-off between using different qualities such as leadership, determination, or creativity.

You’ll have to use your best judgment to determine which is best in each situation. The Accenture tests are not timed, but they will take you about 60 to 90 minutes to complete, and it is recommended that you take them all at once.

The assessments are timed, but how much time you spend on them has no bearing on your final grade.

Find a quiet and comfortable place to complete the assessment, preferably with a laptop or PC. Although the tests are mobile-friendly, Accenture strongly recommends running them on a desktop computer in full-screen mode.

The tests will work best in Chrome, Internet Explorer 11 or later, Safari, or Firefox, and you should disable any pop-up blockers before starting.

When you begin the online assessment, you will be guided through a detailed tutorial showing you how to complete the tests. Before proceeding, carefully review all of the information provided.

The Online Interview Process

Following the online assessment, you may be asked to submit a video interview, which entails recording your responses to a series of questions. Accenture has collaborated with HireVue, a digital hiring platform, to make the digital interview possible.

The procedure includes a multiple-choice skills test as well as a video interview in which you will record answers using a webcam on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Typical HireVue interview questions may include your strengths and weaknesses, long-term career goals, and why you left your previous/current job. Competency-based questions may also be asked in order to evaluate your:

  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Innovation and the ability to work with ambiguous parameters
  • Persuasion abilities
  • Adaptability and adaptability
  • Possibility of collaboration

Some of the questions you could be asked during the online interview process are-

  • “Tell us about a time when you had to work with a difficult colleague and how you overcame this challenge,”
  • “Tell us about a time when you demonstrated leadership qualities.”
  • “Describe a time when you used your imagination to solve a problem.”

You should be prepared to discuss specific situations in which you demonstrated the skills under consideration.

Assessment Centre

The assessment center is the final stage of the Accenture graduate recruitment process. This will take place at the Accenture offices with members of the recruitment team and will last approximately half a day. Some of the challenges faced by the recruiter are-

  • A brief paired exercise with a different candidate
  • Virtual Reality Evaluations (VR)
  • A one-to-one strength-based interview.

Prior to attending the assessment center, you will be invited to join an online Q&A session with an Accenture recruiter, who will answer any questions you may have. In addition, you will be asked to conduct research on a relevant topic to discuss with an assessor during the session.

The topic will most likely center on current technological trends. This is not a presentation, but you must speak with the interviewer during this Accenture interview process for at least 10 minutes about your assigned topic.

Virtual Reality Assessments

You will be asked to complete some virtual reality assessments as part of the assessment day (VR). CAPP provides these, which include three different virtual reality scenarios.

Candidates will be evaluated in each one based on their abilities and strengths in interpreting data, problem-solving, resilience, and working agilely.

Exercise one is set in an Egyptian crypt and requires you to move a set of hieroglyphs into the correct sequence in as few moves as possible. The colors will change to indicate whether the hieroglyph is correct but in the wrong place (yellow) or correct but in the wrong place (red) (green).

Exercise two – There are ten podiums here, each with a problem that needs to be solved. These could include arranging rocks in the proper size order, counting the number of cubes in a box, or naming the capital cities of various countries.

You will only have seven minutes to complete the exercise, and two of the tasks are impossible to complete in that amount of time.

You’ll need to decide which tasks to complete, how to get as much done as possible, and when to move on, so this task assesses your project management skills and how you prioritize tasks.

The third and final VR exercise is an office simulation. There will be a virtual iPad with information on a live project. Before dialing into a conference call and recording a summary of your findings, you must first analyze the project’s status.

Tips for Accenture Interview Process

  • First, practice recording some interview responses to ensure that you are comfortable with the equipment. This will also allow you to observe your body language and tone of voice.
  • Find a quiet location to record in, and make sure the background is neutral and tidy. Check the lighting (natural lighting is best) and make sure your face is visible.
  • When giving your answers, look at the camera rather than the screen, and make sure it is at eye level.
  • Dress as if you were going to a face-to-face interview – that is, smartly and conservatively. If you’re not sure what to wear, take a look at the images on Accenture’s website as a guide.
  • Maintain a confident posture, express yourself with your hands (but don’t fidget), and project your voice. Consider showing some practice recordings to friends and family to get feedback on how you present yourself on camera and where you can improve.
  • Maintain your concentration. Switch off your phone and any other programs on your computer.
