King’s College London awards Summer@Kings 2022 scholarships to brilliant students from around the world who wish to study at our Junior Summer School 2022.
King’s Summer Programs is proud to be offering tuition fee scholarships to excellent, highly motivated students from the UK and around the globe to study in our summer schools.
Indeed, they are looking for excellent candidates who are passionate about thinking, learning and communicating. All scholarship applicants need to apply for the program in the usual way and must fulfill their standard academic criteria.

King’s College London is a public research university in London, UK, and a founding college of the Federal University of London.
Basically, King’s College London was established in 1829 by King George IV and Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, when it received its first royal charter (as a university college), and claims to be the fourth oldest university institution in England.
In 1836, King’s became one of the two founding colleges of the University of London.
If English is not your native language, you must prove that your English is high enough to successfully complete your studies.

As part of the entry requirements for eligibility of the scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
Scholarship Benefits
The Summer @ King Scholarship covers tuition fees of £1,800 in 2021.
Scholarship Number
King’s College London summer programs offer 8 scholarships to bright students from around the world to study on their 2021 Undergraduate Summer School.
Application Procedures
Apply online through the King’s Apply portal. For more information on summer applications, please follow the instructions on the How to Apply page.
In addition, you must do the following:
- Add the statement “I am applying for a Summer@King scholarship” in the “Personal Statement” section of the application above.
- Make a video (no longer than 2 minutes 30 seconds) by answering the following question: “Why does London matter to the world in 2021?”
- You can address this question in a variety of ways, taking into account a range of topics. You can also think about the problem from the perspective of your particular area.
- Upload the video to Dropbox and paste the Dropbox link at the top of your personal statement.
IMPORTANT: The video must be in one of the following formats: MOV or MP4 or AVI or WMV.

Selection Process
They will evaluate how well your answer is discussed and we are looking for videos that express your own original ideas in a clear and concise way.
However, they encourage the use of secondary literature, do not forget to recognize your references.
Note: The artistic quality of the video is not part of the evaluation, so feel free to use a cell phone or tablet when recording
Application Deadline:
The application deadline every year is April 13th, 2021.
Selected applicants will be notified during the week beginning May 4, 2021.
Non-selected applicants will NOT be contacted. Due to the large volume of requests, comments on individual requests cannot be provided.
Pre-University Summer School
King’s College London aims to make its innovative education accessible to the best students around the world and summer programs are delighted to offer 10 tuition scholarships to incredible students to study at their 2021 Pre-University Summer School

Summer@King’s Scholarship with UNHCR
King’s College London summer programs offer 10 tuition scholarships to forced migrants to study in one of the following programs:
- 2021 Undergraduate Summer School
- 2020 Pre-University Summer School
They use the term “forced migrant” as a generic term for the following immigration histories.
- An asylum seeker is a person who has requested protection under the Refugee Convention or Article 3 of the ECHR
- The refugee is a former asylum seeker who has obtained asylum in a country other than his home country. They have been able to prove that if they are sent home, they will be prosecuted for their race, religion, nationality, social group or political opinion.
- Humanitarian protection is granted to persons who, if returned, would be subject to sanctions due to a case not mentioned above.
- Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Child is granted in single cases to children who arrive in the country separated from their parents, for a limited period, generally up to the age of 17.
- Limited Leave to Remain (previously discretionary permission to stay) is granted to applicants with unique cases to stay in the United Kingdom for a limited period.
- Long Residence Status can be granted in case of continued residence in the United Kingdom for several years (sufficient duration depends on age)
