Lagos Business School Scholarships 2023

Like we earlier stated There are few Lagos Business School MBA scholarships available and awarded to students on the basis of financial need and merit. Candidates can apply for a scholarship once they have been offered a place on the programme.

Lagos Business School awards a number of scholarships every year to outstanding students with proven financial need. 

To apply for Lagos Business School scholarship, you should submit a filled scholarship application form to the MBA Admissions Office within the first week of getting an admission letter.

The Lagos Business School scholarship committee meets during the second week of admission letters being sent out.

Lagos Business School: Programme Structure

The MBA programme at the Lagos Business School follows the structure below;

  • Brush Up: This is a preparatory module with which you’re expected to kick start your programme. It provides a foundational experience ahead of your MBA courses. You will be exposed to sessions in Business, Accounting, Mathematics, English, and Quantitative Analysis. Brief sessions are also organized on business etiquette and dress sense so that you can always comport yourself appropriately anywhere you are, as an ambassador of the school. It lasts for four (4) weeks in September.
  • Year One: This is the first year of your program. You must take all the courses offered in the curriculum for the year. It is divided into three (3) semesters, each lasting three (3) months; October-December, January-March, and April-June.

Lagos Business School MBA

The Lagos Business School MBA programme is a standard programme that is in line with global best practices without neglecting professionalism and high ethical standards.

The MBA focuses on developing responsible leaders for Africa, starting from Nigeria.

Before being considered for admission, you have to meet the requirements listed above in the requirement section.

Usually, the application process takes about four months; some of the features of the program are highlighted below:

  • Three years of minimum work experience is mandatory for all candidates.
  • The program length is 18 months. To complete the program, you must complete 15 months of in-class study and at least 72 credit hours of coursework. There are three semesters in all; two in the first academic year and one in the final year.
  • The last semester is an elective, and students can choose to participate in a student exchange program with our partner schools abroad or offer local electives.

Students are also expected to undertake an action learning project during their MBA.

In this case, groups of students will be required to review the operations of a selected small and medium enterprise (SME) and help design what will take the firm to the next level.

Lagos Business School Executive MBA

The Executive MBA, or EMBA, is an intense program to prepare potential executives for senior leadership.

The program provides an analytical and integrated understanding of business management. It allows participants to apply for learning and project work directly to their organizations while building a solid network of like-minded colleagues across various industries.

The EMBA aims to create an environment where participants can learn how to handle complex real-life problems by probing, discussing, and working together as a team to achieve more profound insight and solve organizational problems.

Executive MBA fees

The program costs N3,500,000 per session. The fee is payable in installments at the beginning of each semester and covers tuition and course materials. The price is also subject to periodic reviews.

The program is delivered in six 14-week semesters spread over two sessions for 24 months. A session begins in January and ends in December.

Classes are held on Fridays from 1.30 p.m. To 7.45 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9.00 a.m to 1.45 p.m.

In addition, there is a five-day intensive week once every semester, where classes hold from 9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. from Monday through to Friday.

There are no classes on Saturday following an intensive week.

Executive education at LBS is comprehensive, drawing on the experiences of international faculty and participants.
