About the Scholarship
The partnership between Ledcor and the University was established with the vision of improving methods and practices within the Canadian building construction industry.
In Canada and Alberta especially, innovations in the construction industry have far-reaching benefits, as the province is projected to have the second-highest investment in the country in non-residential construction from 2012-2023.
The university’s Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering is instrumental to this industry, attracting and training future generations of engineers for careers where they are desperately needed.
Ledcor hopes to enhance the department’s already strong reputation and to support the students and Alberta’s construction industry.

The scholarships are available for students to pursue an undergraduate degree program in Construction, Engineering, and Management at the University of Alberta and are in their third or fourth year of study.

The scholarship is hosted by Ledcor Industries Limited and taken at the University of Alberta.

The number of openings is Two. However, the University of Alberta reserves the right to limit the number of awards granted.

The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to be considered for this scholarship.
- Must be a student at the University of Alberta
- She/he is in or entering into the third or fourth year of studies at the University of Alberta.
- Must be from the Alberta region.
