The Metis scholarships are provided by the Metis Nation of Ontario Bursaries and Scholarship program in Canada.

MAJOR MNO BURSARIES:

Métis Nation of Ontario and Detour Gold Bursary

This scholarship is available for Metis students who are pursuing a program that is either related to or supports Mining in Ontario.

Applicants must live in region 3 and must not be registered under the Indian Act as an Indian or under the Inuit registry as an Inuk. A written essay may be required for consideration.

Hydro One Métis Nation of Ontario Bursary for Energy Education

This scholarship is available for Métis students who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, and the Electrical Engineering Technician Program or Technology Program.

The scholarship is available at the Northern College. Financial aid is available for students with an established financial need.

Applicants must be either citizens or have a permanent residency permit for Ontario. Applicants must be eighteen years or older. An essay is required for the application.

Sault College MNOPowley Electrical Award

This scholarship is available for Métis students who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in the Electrical sector of Sault College.

The scholarship is available at Sault College. Financial aid is available for students with an established financial need.

Applicants must be either citizen or have a permanent residency permit for Ontario. Applicants must be eighteen years or older. An essay is required for the application.

Métis Nation of Ontario and Ontario Power Generation Energy Sector Award

This scholarship is available for Métis students who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Cambrian College.

The scholarship is available at Cambrian College. The financial aid is available for students with an established financial need and a minimum of B – average at Cambrian College.

Applicants must be either citizen or have a permanent residency permit for Ontario. Applicants must show evident involvement in extracurricular activities.

Dr. Tony Belcourt Endowment Fund for Métis in the Arts

This scholarship is available for Métis students who are enrolled in full time or part-time in an undergraduate degree program in the Electrical sector of Ontario College of Art & Design.

The scholarship is available at the Sault College. Financial aid is available for students with an established financial need.

Applicants must be either citizen or have a permanent residency permit for Ontario or are protected citizens of Canada. There is a preference available for students with a relevant interest in Aboriginal Visual Culture.
