About MyProjectorLamps Scholarship

MyProjectorLamps.com has a biannual scholarship and will award $1000 to two (2) students open to all students in the United States who are attending High school, College, or University who are considered to be in ‘good standing’ at their current institution, with minimum 3.0 GPA required.

MyProjectorLamps.com sponsors a biannual scholarship that will award $1000 to two (2) students who best explore a selected topic. 

Our scholarship contest challenges applicants to create a one-page essay detailing ideas about the use of multimedia and data visualization in K-12 classrooms to improve knowledge retention.

Field/ Level of Study

Students who are attending High school, College, or University are considered to be in ‘good standing’ at their current institution, with a minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Eligible Nationalities

MyProjectorLamps Scholarships is open to all United States students attending High School, College, or University.

Scholarship Worth

The available award amount is a non-renewable annual pay of $ 1,000. Also, two awards are offered annually. MyProjectorLamps Scholarships are awarded by MyProjectorLamps.com

Eligibility:

Criteria for inquiring participants for MyProjectorLamps Scholarships must include:

  • Minimum age of fourteen years (to date) or older
  • Currently attending an accredited U.S. program: i.e., high school, college, or university
  • Considered in “Good Standing” at the current institution- i.e., not on academic probation or suspension
  • A minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. Must follow or ‘LIKE’ the MyProjectorLamps Facebook page.

Items to submit:

  • A cover letter should be attached to all applications, which include: first and last name, school name, grade, email address, and phone number.
  • There is NO application form or sheet; applicants must send a typed version of their essay.
  • A transcript or statement of your GPA from your school must be included (unofficial transcripts are also accepted).
  • Forward essay by October 31st, 2020, for the Fall scholarship and by April 15th, 2020 for the Spring scholarship

How To Apply for MyProjectorLamps Scholarships:

Create a one-page essay detailing your ideas about the use of multimedia and data visualization in K-12 classrooms.

Explore modern teaching methods and propose specific ideas for visual and interactive presentations in K-12 classrooms for improved knowledge retention.

Include one printed image about multimedia used in your classroom.

2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards is currently open to high school students who have made meaningful contributions to their community through volunteer service.

Debbie Rice Memorial Scholarship 2020

2020 Debbie Rice Memorial Scholarship is currently open to seniors that have at least a GPA of 2.75 or higher, an ACT of 17 or higher, interested in pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a technology-related field to apply. The application deadline for this scholarship is November 16, 2020.

Andrew Flusche Scholarship

The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a college or university.

Applicants must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) that portrays the correct way of interacting with a police officer during a traffic stop, or any other encounter, to qualify for this award.

The video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than three minutes long. Deadline November 30, 2020.

Huntingdon College Presidential Fellows

The Huntingdon College Presidential Fellows is a stackable scholarship that will be awarded to students with an ACT score of 23 or higher and a GPA of 3.0. The deadline is December 1, 2020.

College Scholarship Contest

The College Scholarship Contest is available to students enrolled at an accredited high school, college, or university. You must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and submit a 30-60 second Instagram video to qualify.

Women in Science Environmental Scholarship

The Women in Science Environmental Scholarship is currently open to female high school students, with preference given to those who choose to pursue a science degree. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, and submit a one-page essay that demonstrates an idea you have for helping improve the environment, either global or locally using Drone Technology to be eligible for this award. Deadline December 1, 2020.

GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is for high school seniors who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Apply online at reaganfoundation.org/scholarships. The applications deadline is January 4, 2020.

Smith Scholarship Foundation

The Smith Scholarship Foundation, established by Avondale Mills heiress Mignon Comer Smith, annually invests in the college education of economically disadvantaged students across the state. The application deadline is January 7, 2020.

Judy Marley Montgomery Choral Scholarship

The Judy Marley Montgomery Choral Scholarship is awarded to a student, by audition, to perform in the Huntingdon College Choir.

An applicant student may qualify for a greater scholarship award based on academic merit. Auditions will be held on February 16, 2020.

University of Alabama

The University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance currently invites high school seniors to attend auditions for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Theatre. Audition Days are December 8, 2020, and January 12, 2020. Visit theatre.ua.edu for more information and important deadlines.

College Jumpstart Scholarship

The College Jumpstart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition where financial need is not considered and it is open for 10th-12th graders. The application can be found online. The first-place prize is a $1,000 scholarship that covers educational expenses. This award can be used at any College or University in the United States.

The deadline for the competition is April 15, 2023.
