Heart of America Scholarship

Awarded by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), the Heart of America Scholarship award is available for international and U.S. college juniors and graduate students (Master’s and Ph.D.) who are pursuing a degree in occupational safety and health or a cognate discipline.

The desired applicant must be pursuing a full-time degree and have a grade point average of at least3.0. Priority will be given to students attending college in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and the country of Egypt.

The scholarship award is a non-renewable $1,000 annually offered to two successful applicants. This award requires the applicant to be an ASSE Student Member.

If the student is not already an ASSE member, he/she may apply for membership at the time of applying for the scholarship.

Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program

Offered by Foot Locker Foundation, the Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program is open to students with U.S citizenship or permanent residency who, together with their participation in athletics in school, are also able to demonstrate exceptional academic ability and strong leadership skills in their schools and within their communities.

Desired applicants are expected to have a high school minimum GPA of 3.0 and must have gained undergraduate admission into a college in the fall of 2022 at a four-year school.

Chicago FM Club Scholarship

Awarded by American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation, Inc., the Chicago FM Club Scholarship is available for all licensed radio amateurs (technician class or higher) who are residents of one of the following U.S. states: Indiana, Illinois, or Wisconsin.

The eligible applicant must be a U.S. citizen or be within three months of obtaining citizenship.

The program will offer more than 80 scholarships valued from $500 to $5,000for the year 2022.

David Knaus Memorial Scholarship

Awarded by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation, Inc., the David Knaus Memorial Scholarship is open to international and U.S. undergraduate students who have licensed radio amateurs. Students must reside in Wisconsin.

Eligible applicants must be residents of Wisconsin and pursuing a 2-year or 4-year degree. If no eligible or qualified residents of Wisconsin are identified among the applicants, students residing in the ARRL Central Division (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin) will be given consideration.

The scholarship award is valued at a non-renewable $2000 offered to only one successful applicant annually.

Deadline: Applications must be made between October 1 and January 31.

Community College Scholarship

Offered by the SR Education Group, the Community College Scholarship award is for U.S. students who are enrolled full-time at a public community, junior, or City College.

The scholarship award is valued at a non-renewable $5,000 annually and offered to only one successful applicant.

Indianapolis Amateur Radio Association Scholarship

Awarded by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation, Inc., the Indianapolis Amateur Radio Association Scholarship is offered to international and U.S. licensed radio amateurs who reside in the ARRL Central Division (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin).

Qualified students must be pursuing a degree in the fields of electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, or cognate disciplines.

The scholarship award is valued at a non-renewable $1,000 annually offered to only one successful applicant.

Awarded by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation, Inc., the Six Meter Club of Chicago Scholarship is offered to international and U.S. licensed radio amateurs who reside in the ARRL Central Division (Illinois, Indianapolis, Wisconsin).

Qualified applicants are expected to be students who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and are in good academic standing.

Awarded by the Association for Iron and Steel Technology, the AIST Midwest Member Chapter Scholarship is offered to the U.S. graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students who plan to major in engineering and pursue a career in iron and steel technology.

Eligible applicants must be residents of Northwestern Indiana, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa and own an AIST Midwest Chapter membership or be dependents of AIST Midwest Chapter members.

The scholarship award is valued at a non-renewable $1,000 to $3,000 offered to fourteen (14) applicants annually.

Awarded by the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization, the Andersons, Inc. The scholarship is offered to a graduating U.S. high school senior who plans to attend school in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, or Wisconsin and is a resident of eligible counties in those states.

The scholarship is valued at a non-renewable $1,250 offered annually. The qualified applicant must be a member of Future Farmers of America and plan to pursue a four-year degree in any area of agriculture.

The Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs offers financial assistance in the form of scholarships to high school seniors to pursue further education at an accredited two or four-year institution of higher learning. This scholarship award is valued at $1,500.

Recipients must have been a member of the Club for two years before winning the scholarship and planning to attend a college or university. The club also offers continuing education scholarships for students who are already enrolled in a college or university.

Furman University Charles H. Townes Scholarship

Awarded by Furman University, the Charles H. Townes Scholarship is offered to U.S. high school seniors who reside outside of South Carolina and plan to enroll in an undergraduate program at Furman University.

The scholarship award is valued at $35,000 annually, renewable for up to three years if the student maintains a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.

The award also includes a study abroad scholarship of $2,000, a $3,000 stipend for a summer internship or research experience, and the opportunity to participate in Public Leadership Seminars.

The scholarship is awarded to 10 successful applicants annually.

The Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship

The Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are awarded to Wisconsin high school seniors who have the highest grade point average in each public and private high school throughout the State of Wisconsin.

The number of scholarships each high school is eligible for is based on total student enrollment.

In order to receive a scholarship, a student must be enrolled on a full-time basis by September 30th of the academic year following the academic year in which he or she was designated as a scholar, at a participating University of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Technical College, or independent institution in the state.

The scholarship is valued at $2,250 annually, to be applied solely towards full-time enrollment tuition.

Wisconsin Garden Club Federation Irene Straus Scholarship

The Wisconsin Garden Club Federation is pleased to offer a student in his or her sophomore or senior year, or postgraduate students of a Wisconsin college or university an Irene Straus Scholarship award of $1,000.

The qualified applicant must be pursuing a degree in any of the following disciplines: horticulture, floriculture, landscape design/architecture, botany, forestry, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental studies, city planning, land management or any other related discipline.
