$2,700 Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest 2022

The Lincoln Forum is pleased to announce its annual “Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest”. The Lincoln Forum is an assembly of people who share a deep interest in the life and times of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.

The Forum endeavors to enhance understanding and preserve the memory of Abraham Lincoln. 2022 marks the 162nd anniversary of the famous debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas.

About 2022 Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest

The Lincoln Forum Scholarship essay contest is open to students who are full-time, undergraduate students in an American College or University. Special contributions of the forum to the field of Lincoln studies contribute through a roster of activities and projects including symposia, tours, and student essay competitions.

The Platt Family scholarship essay contest is designed for students who are FULL TIME, undergraduate students in an AMERICAN COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY during the Spring 2022 semester.

Eligible Nationality

The Scholarship is open to college students in the USA, not necessarily for US citizens.

Platt Family Scholarship Worth

The total amount of the essay contest announced by them is $2,750 for the winners.

A total of three awards are given to the winning candidates;

1st Prize: $1500

2nd Prize:$750

Who Can Apply For Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest?

As stated earlier, this Lincoln Forum scholarship essay contest is designed for students who are FULL TIME, undergraduate students in an AMERICAN COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY during the Spring 2022 semester.

However, to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest requirements;

  • You must not be an American citizen, but you must be a student of an AMERICAN COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY during the eligibility period.
  • Platt Family Scholarship Prize Essay Contest is NOT open to high school students
  • The eligibility of entrants will be confirmed by the Lincoln Forum prior to the awarding of prizes, and all entries will be judged by the essay committee of The Lincoln Forum.

How To Apply for Platt Family Scholarship

  • Entries must contain a minimum of 1,500 and a maximum of 5,000 words.
  • The essay must be typed and include a works-cited page or bibliography. Endnotes are suggested but not required.
  • There is no application form for the contest, the essay and your contact information serves as your application.
  • Applicants must include the name of their college or university with their entire and all contact information (regular and email address) must be put on the essay proper.

Judging will be based solely on the essay [grades, financial need, and extracurricular activities do not count], so choose your words well.

Judging will take place during the fall. The three winners will be announced at the Lincoln Forum annual meeting in Gettysburg on November 18th.

Checks from the Lincoln Forum will be sent to the winners in December. The scholarship prize money is designed as a reward for academic excellence. It can be used for any purpose the winner desires.

The July 31 deadline is designed to give these students time to finish their essays, if need be, after final exams.

If you wish to apply, you must first contact the scholarship office of your undergraduate institution. Each institution will have an internal application deadline a few weeks before the deadline for the Foundation’s appointment.

C.I.P. Scholarship, which is Sponsored by College is Power

The College Is Power Scholarship is open to students aged 17 years or older who plan to start a program of higher education within the next 12 months or who are currently enrolled in a program of higher education.

Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. Applicants must submit a short online application.

Community Scholarship, which is Sponsored by Brown, Naegle, Crider & Jensen

Charlie and the team at Brown, Naegle, Crider, and Jensen LLC offer the Community scholarship program as a way to give back to the community and schools that laid the foundation for his career.

This Scholarship is open to current college students who reside in the state of Arizona. Applicants must submit an essay on a given topic related to drinking and driving.

Deadline: May 31 and December 31
Amount: $1,000

ConsumerHealthDigest Scholastic Competition

Competition is open to college students at least 18 years of age. Applicant must submit a well-researched health article, Infographic, or video. The scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students of US institutions.

This scholarship is open to students of all nationalities and majors who are at least sixteen years old and enrolled at an accredited university or college all around the world (including the U.S., U.K. Canada, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, and so on) for the current school year. Applicant must submit an essay on how you can save money in your daily life.
