Registration for the Public Interest Group Fellowship(PIRG Fellowship) Program is now accepted. The fellowship is open to those who meet the following criteria; looks for smart, research literacy, leadership experience, top-notch/first-class written and verbal skills and a desire to learn.

Level/Field of Study

The US PIRG Fellowship is a non-degree program in any field.

Host Nationality

Public Interest Research Groups (PIRGs) have set up a two-year US PIRG Fellowship program designed specifically to prepare future leaders within the PIRG. The US PIRG is looking for skills, smartness, leadership experience, first-class written and verbal skills and a desire to learn.

The fellowship is designed to teach the basics of the organization and put those skills into practice to identify social issues and help with their campaigns.

Eligible Nationality

The PIRG Fellowship 2023 is open to US Citizens and residents.

Eligibility

What It Means To Be A Fellow

You won’t just sit behind a desk as a fellow rather, you will be working to protect consumers and help citizens to live healthier, safer and more secure.

As a fellow, you will be organizing a news event or rally, speaking in a town hall or church basement to win a new endorsement, recruiting new groups to join a coalition, and a host of other things it takes to get results.

Scholarship Worth

The target compensation for this position in the first year is $27,000. The US PIRG Fellowship Scholarship offers a number of competitive advantages. They also offer an excellent training program and opportunities for advancement.

Locations and Start Dates

PIRG is currently hiring positions in Portland, Philadelphia, ME, Washington DC, Boston, Denver, Baltimore, Chicago and Madison, WI. If you’re flexible, you can apply for multiple locations.

Submitted applications are accepted on a rolling basis. However, the US PIRG Fellowship positions start in August of every year.
