University of Oulu Masters Scholarships for International Students

The University of Oulu, Finland, offers scholarships to students from Burundi, African students and other international students with academic talents. Students who are not citizens of a Member State of the EU/EEA are required to pay tuition fees.

The Finnish scholarships are intended for master’s students at the University of Oulu who are pursuing a two-year international master’s program. The scholarship is for one academic year and covers all international enrollment costs.

To keep the scholarship the following year, the student must have completed 55 ECTS at the end of the previous academic year. If a student does not meet this requirement, they will be asked to pay full international tuition if they wish to complete their master’s program. An exception to this rule may be made if a student has been granted an approved study license (for example, due to a critical illness).
