Shahjalal Islami Bank is a leading Bank in Bangladesh. The bank provides scholarships to unprivileged students.
However, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) awarded a scholarship to the brilliant and poor students of the country. In this regard, a scholarship award-giving ceremony has been organized on 23rd March 2023 at the Officer’s Club, Dhaka.
Moreso, The Hon’ble Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Fazle Kabir, handed over the scholarship cheque to the students as Chief Guest.
There are 500 students from different Colleges, Medical Colleges, and Universities who received the Scholarship for their bright results.
So, the main objectives of Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation are:
- To provide health care to poor and distressed people.
- Education support to meritorious but poor students through scholarships and awards.
- Financial assistance to flood, cyclone, or disaster-affected people.
- To support humanitarian. Provide financial assistance to the development of the culture and sports of the country.
- To participate in social and environmental activities.
How much is SIBL Scholarship Worth?
Among the 500 Scholarship nominated students, there are 160 male students for SSC and 140 female students for the SSC level, 120 male students for HSC, and 80 female students for the HSC level.
The 500 students will be given Tk. 4 crores 19 Lac as a Scholarship on a monthly basis.

This SIBL Scholarship is provided by Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited.
SIBL Scholarship is open for Bangladesh students who passed their SSCE and HSC examinations.

Eligibility Criteria SIBL Scholarship 2023
- For Science Group, a GPA of 5.00 is required for educational institutions within the city corporation area and a GPA of 4.80 for the rest of all.
- While for other groups, a GPA of 4.80 for educational institutions within the city corporation area and a GPA of 4.50 for the rest of all.
- Note applicants whose parent’s income is Tk. 1,20,000.00 per year, are not eligible to apply. If any students are nominated for other scholarships, they cannot apply.
- In other Groups, such as Arts and Commerce, students must have a minimum GPA of 4.80 (City Corporation Area) and GPA of 4.50 (Out of City Corporation Area). (https://bellarinova.com/)
- Physical Disability Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 to avail themselves of the scholarship.
SIBL Scholarship Application Process:
Applicants have to apply with detailed information. Students can collect an application form from Shahjalal Islami Bank Branches and download a 4-page application form from the SIBL website online.
However, Applicants must have to attach all papers with a form which is mentioned in form 4. The Application submission address is Head of Foundation Head Office, Gulshan South Avenue, Dhaka 1212.
