Spence Reese Scholarships

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) Foundation is proud to announce the four Spence Reese Scholarships in the Medicine, Engineering, Law, and Political Science fields.

However, the program is available only to male high school seniors pursuing or planning to study a four-year degree/course at an accredited college or university.

About the Foundation

The Foundation’s goal is to provide financial support to continue the Club’s programs and services for youth.

The BGCGSD Foundation will provide a scholarship award amount range from $2,000-$6,000 per year for four years of study.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) Foundation was created in 1984 to seek gifts of substantial cash, securities, and property to be utilized for the support of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The mission of the BGCGSD is to inspire and enable youth to develop into productive, healthy, caring and responsible citizens.

Field of Study

Only those in the following fields of study can be beneficiaries of this scholarship;

  • Medicine
  • Engineering
  • Law
  • Political Science

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be male.
  • Such applicants must be high school seniors.
  • Applicants must have an intended course of study in Medicine, Engineering, Political Science or Law.
