Luis de Florez Graduate Award

This scholarship is Sponsored by The AIAA Modeling and Simulation Technical Committee, and its Submission Deadline is on 31 January.

Applicants Must be a current AIAA Student member in good standing, have completed at least 1 academic quarter or semester of full-time graduate-level college work and have a research topic approved, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.300 on a 4.000 scale, be researching a Modeling and Simulation topic, be enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States.

The recipient of this scholarship will be selected based on the following required criteria; an Official College/University Transcript (if applicants attended more than one College/University, official transcripts from ALL schools must be provided), including undergraduate and graduate-level work completed through the most recent Fall term, MUST be mailed to AIAA Foundation Scholarship Program; c/o Felicia Livingston, 12700 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 200, Reston, VA 20191-5807.

The research outline may be outlined in any way you choose, but it should clearly define the research’s hypotheses, research approach, objectives, and benefits. Three (3) professional letters of recommendation (recommendations from relatives will not be accepted).

Selection is done by the AIAA Modeling and Simulation Technical Committee; if the AIAA Modeling and Simulation Technical Committee decide that there is not a qualified applicant for a particular year, the award will not be disbursed.

AIAA Foundation Scholarships

These scholarships are given to students enrolled in aerospace engineering programs that are advancing through their sophomore year of study.

Special consideration is given to those students who exhibit an outstanding aptitude for aerospace engineering and best embody the foundation’s tenets. Awards are worth as much as $2500 each.

To help support future aerospace professionals, the AIAA Foundation annually awards financial aid to graduate students in science or engineering programs.

In the past 20 years, the AIAA Foundation has funded over 750 scholarships and graduate awards to students at more than 150 colleges and universities worldwide.

NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program

This Scholarship program provides educational funding for promising undergraduates as well as graduate-level researchers.

Undergraduates qualify for annual scholarships worth $15.000 each for educational expenses in approved programs. The scholarship awards support students for two years and include a summer internship program valued at $10,000.

Graduate students receive stipends worth $35,000 annually in addition to $11,000 worth of annual educational funding. Internships are also included, and the students enrolled in the graduate program have the option to be extended for an additional year for qualified researchers.

The NASA Office of Education, in conjunction with the Aeronautics Scholarship Program, awards scholarships for individuals planning to pursue graduate studies leading to a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a field related to aeronautics at accredited United States academic institutions.

Graduates will be funded up to $11,000 towards their tuition and will receive a $35,000 stipend per academic year for 2 years via a NASA training grant. The students can participate in the proposed research at a NASA center during the summer of the scholarship award period and will receive a $10,000 stipend for their participation.

This is contingent upon the student meeting academic criteria, scholarship responsibilities, and funding availability. The scholarship is open only to applicants who are citizens of the United States. And it is a scholarship in Aerospace Engineering.

Women in Aerospace Foundation Scholarship Scheme

The Foundation advocates for females to earn their place in the aerospace industry. One Foundation initiative provides college scholarships for deserving students.

Each year, two scholarships valued at $2000 are disbursed to aerospace students meeting the following eligibility requirements;

Cumulative GPA of 3.0, Completed a minimum of 2.5 years of instruction at the time of application, Attended an accredited institution of higher education, Working toward a Bachelor’s degree, Female, and Pursuing a career in the aerospace industry. Winners will be honored at the organization’s annual October awards dinner.

The Women in Aerospace Foundation was established in 2009 as a nonprofit, tax-exempt educational organization created to increase public awareness of the importance and benefits of the aerospace field, increase public appreciation for aerospace science and technology and inspire female students to develop the skill sets required to innovate and assume leadership roles in the development of technology in the aerospace field.

The Foundation accomplishes its purpose by providing scholarships to women who study engineering, math, or science at the undergraduate level to encourage women thereby to enter careers in the aerospace field, expand women’s opportunities for leadership in aerospace, and increase women’s visibility in the aerospace community.

The WIA Foundation is pleased to provide scholarships to women interested in a career in the aerospace field to pursue higher education degrees in engineering, math, or science.

The scholarship awards will be given each year to a rising senior in college to be applied during the upcoming academic year.

To be eligible for the WIA Foundation Scholarship, applicants must be interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace field and be a junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, or science.

Applicants must have completed at least two and a half academic years of full-time college work at the time of application and must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States or its territories. Each applicant must have a college grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Applications will be available on or about mid-November to mid-December for the subsequent academic year. The scholarship timeline is as follows: Mid-December, June 19, Late July, and November 1.

The Aerospace States Association

They are committed to educating students in physical science and engineering fields. The ASA offers scholarships worth $2,000 each, reserved annually for two sophomores and juniors working toward aeronautics degrees.

Furthermore, the scholarships are not renewable, so that each successful applicant can win only once. An integral part of the Aerospace States Association’s (ASA) mission is to support and develop initiatives that significantly enhance student and teacher education in space and aeronautics and increase the number of students in the pipeline.

The Education Committee of ASA will administer the scholarship competition each year. The applications for the scholarship should include community-related activities, school-related activities, grade point average, the field of study, an official transcript, an academic-based one, and a personal letter of recommendation.

The Scholarship application should be submitted to the ASA Education Committee Chair by April 30th of each year. The scholarship will be made available for the fall school term of the year under consideration.

It will be awarded in the form of a check made out to the scholarship awardee/awardee’s right school, and it shall be understood that the funds are for tuition and books only.

Neil Armstrong Graduate Award (Armstrong Banner)

The AIAA Foundation (AIAA Foundation) Neil A. Armstrong Graduate Award honors the great achievements of the late astronaut, military pilot, and educator while providing deserving students with the financial assistance needed to complete their studies.

The Submission Deadline for this scholarship is on 31 January. Applicants for an AIAA Foundation Graduate Award must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for the scholarship;

Orville and Wilbur Wright Graduate Awards

Through its annual graduate scholarship program, the AIAA Foundation presents scholarships to graduate students doing excellent research in the air and space sciences.

The AIAA Foundation Orville and Wilbur Wright Graduate Awards were established by the AIAA Evolution of Flight Campaign and the AIAA Foundation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of powered flight and to recognize the Wright brother’s aeronautical achievements and contributions to the evolution of flight.

The AIAA Foundation Orville and Wilbur Wright Graduate Awards are granted annually to two graduate-level students participating in research endeavors as part of their engineering/science graduate studies. It is for an aerospace engineering degree.

William T. Piper Sr, General Aviation Systems graduate award

This scholarship is Sponsored by The AIAA General Aviation Systems Technical Committee, and its application Submission Deadline is on 31 January.

John Leland Atwood Graduate Award

Endowments from Rockwell sponsor the John Leland Atwood Graduate Award and Boeing North American, Inc. John Leland “Lee” Atwood (1904-1999), former chief executive officer of Rockwell North American, was thought of by many as the “dean of aerospace,” was instrumental in the development of such landmark projects as the P-51, the F-100, the X-15, the B-1 bomber, and the Space Shuttle.

This is a scholarship in Aerospace Engineering.

Official recognition and check presentation to the successful candidate will be made in conjunction with the Awards Presentations Ceremony at the AIAA SciTech Forum. In addition, the AIAA Foundation will present the candidate with a special recognition plaque in honor of this award.
