Loughborough University is offering a 20% tuition fee scholarship for postgraduate research students who are not receiving any other award.

Loughborough University’s teaching and learning offers academic excellence in various disciplines, from sports and exercise science to engineering, business, and the arts, and was recently awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Level/Field of Study:  Scholarships are available to pursue a Ph.D. research degree in Communication and any other approved courses.

UNNC Ph.D. Scholarship in Communication for International Students in China

The School of English at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) is accepting applications for Ph.D. Scholarship in Communication for 2023 Entry. One 3-year Ph.D. scholarship is available for up to 36 months and is subject to satisfactory progression.

Students whose first language is not English or whose entry qualifications were not obtained from a country/region where English is the native language are required to provide satisfactory evidence of their proficiency in English.

Level/Field of Study: Scholarship is available to pursue a Ph.D. program in Communication.

Host/Eligible Nationality: International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship, though scholarships can be taken in China.

28 Connect EDGE Postdoctoral Fellowships for International Students in Ireland 

Applications are currently open for EDGE Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowships for postdoctoral candidates interested in relocating to Ireland. Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply, though scholarships can be taken in Ireland.

Host/eligible Nationality: EDGE will offer 71 prestigious Fellowships for postdoctoral students relocating to Ireland over two calls for proposals.

Level/Field of Study: Fellowships are available to pursue a Postdoctoral program in Communications.

Scholarship Worth: Each student will be awarded such that their employer (an Irish Higher Education Institute) could offer a yearly gross salary (i.e., before employee tax and statutory deductions) between €33,500 and €56,600, depending on the level of fellowship.

Additionally, each Fellow will receive, as part of their annual salary, a mobility allowance of €6,500 to compensate for the requirement to move to Ireland. If eligible, a family allowance of €5,400 if applicable.

Ph.D. Scholarship in Digital Media Research at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark 

The Department of Media, Cognition, and Communication, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), Denmark, is offering a Ph.D. scholarship in digital media research to be filled by November 2019 or as soon as possible after that. Eligible Ph.D. candidates must be fluent in spoken and written academic English and Danish.

The new UNESCO/Keizo Obuchi Research Fellowships Programme (UNESCO/Japan Young Researchers Fellowship Programme) is now available for researchers of Developing Countries.

Level/Field of Study: Fellowships are available to students from developing countries to pursue Ph.D. degrees in Communication.

Host/Eligible Nationality: This fellowship is offered by the Government of Japan and is open to researchers from developing countries.

Scholarship Worth: The scholarship covers; A Lump sum contribution of US$10,000, which will be awarded to selected candidates. The Government of Japan offers ten fellowships which can be taken in In one or two countries.
