About Billy Blue College of Design Scholarship
Back in 1987 (before Photoshop existed), Sydney design agency Billy Blue Creative was looking for some fresh creative blood to work on their clients’ projects. So, they took the only logical step: to open a design school.
What started as a magazine, blossomed into a design agency, then a school, and now a university, created by designers for designers.
Today, Billy Blue College of Design is renowned for its pioneering spirit and high employability rate across a variety of design disciplines, including branded fashion, communication design, digital media design, and interior design. Courses are developed by some of the industry’s best designers and lecturers who work in leading agencies.
With internships and work-integrated learning programs involving live briefs, students get the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s top design firms.
At Billy Blue, you get specialist design courses by designers for designers. Industry experts teach and mentor students, showing them the ropes with industry-relevant skills and super handy career advice.

Who is Eligible for the Billy Blue College of Design Scholarship?
Level/Field of Study
Scholarships are available to study postgraduate, and the Scholarship is available in any of the subjects offered by the university.
Host Nationality
The scholarship is to be taken in Australia to study at Torrens University Australia.
If you are an international student and you wish to study in Australia, this is for you Latest Australian Permanent Residency Visa & Citizenship Requirements
Eligible Nationality
The scholarship is available to International Students.
Scholarship Worth
This scholarship award applies only to domestic students, aged 18 years and over, wishing to enroll in a full-time, on-campus course at Billy Blue College of Design.

- Demonstrate you have the ability to undertake study at the required level
- Have relevant work experience documented in a CV
- Be currently employed in the design industry
- Have 2 x referees from current employer/manager

Application Deadline
The submission deadline is 11.59 pm AEST on Monday 13th May for June 2023 intake; 11.59 pm on Monday 19 August for September 2023 intake and 11.59 pm AEDT on Monday 20 January 2023 for February 2023 intake.

Higher Education Entrance Scholarship (Diploma or Bachelor)
If you are a new student with no previous design experience in work or study, then this scholarship is for you!
This scholarship award applies only to those wishing to enroll in a full-time, on-campus course at Billy Blue College of Design. Scholarships are available at all campuses for all disciplines.
Higher Education Pathway Scholarship (Bachelor)
If you are a student who has previously worked in the design industry or studied at CATC or another institution in the field of design, then this scholarship for you!
This scholarship award applies only to domestic students, aged 18 years and over, wishing to enroll in a full-time, on-campus course at Billy Blue College of Design. Scholarships are available at all campuses for all disciplines.
Postgraduate Graduate Scholarship (Master of Design; Graduate Certificate in UX and Web Design)
This scholarship is for students who have already completed a bachelor-level degree or postgraduate study at an Australian university and wish to expand their knowledge and progress to senior roles within the Design industry upon graduation.
