Eligibility for admission at the University of Florida minimum requirements include:

  • An online application form that you must submit to the Office of Admissions.
  • An application fee of $35 that is non-refundable.
  • Submit an academic record containing a record of all the schools you have attended.
  • An Official Transcript.
  • SAT and ACT scores.
  • If you are an international student, you’ll submit IELTS, TOEFL, or MELAB scores besides the SAT or ACT.

If you are applying as a homeschooled student, you must submit your SAT Subject test scores. Especially if you didn’t study in an accredited institution.

Note, specific requirements are to be provided by students applying as Freshmen students, International students, or Transfer Students.

University of Florida Freshman Admission Requirements

Students applying for Freshman Admission must meet up with the following criteria:

  • Completed 12-semester credits before graduating.
  • Submit an application online before the deadline is November 1st.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited secondary school or the equivalent.
  • Have a high school GPA of 4.4-4.6. Then a SAT scores of 1330-1470 and ACT scores of 30-33.
  • Have a cumulative C (2.0) average in the academic core. This score must have been calculated at all institutions attended, high school, and college.
  • The applicant must also have 18 academic units in relevant subjects. The subjects include English, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Foreign Language.
  • Applicants must have a record of honorable conduct.

After admission, the applicant must secure a place in the class by paying a $200 non-refundable tuition.

University of Florida Transfer Admission Requirements

For transfer students, they must meet up with the following Admission Requirements:

  • Have an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public institution or at least 60 transferable semester credit hours from a regionally accredited institution
  • Be good in a foreign language.
  • Have a minimum 2.0 overall GPA and a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Must complete or will complete specific prerequisites for the intended major before attending UF.
  • You must have an outstanding record from previous schools attended.
  • Be sure of at least 60 semester credit hours.

What Is the Average SAT Score To Get Into University of Florida?

The University of Florida’s average SAT score for admission from 1330 to 1470. If you score above 1330, you have a greater chance of getting in. If you score below that, you have a lesser chance.
