The University of Tampa

The University of Tampa offers partial academic scholarships to qualified full-time undergraduate international students with exceptional grades, and SAT and TOEFL scores. But these scholarship funds do not cover the full cost of attendance.

The University of Tampa Scholarships, grants, and loans are available to those who qualify. Aid is generally available for those who reside in the U.S. permanently only.

Amounts due are paid usually each semester in lump sums, but there are also alternate payment plans. International students are required to furnish proof of available funds.

All institutional grants and scholarships require full-time enrollment unless otherwise noted. Institutional scholarships and grants are an earned reduction on the regular full-time undergraduate tuition rate.

Students must be assessed the full-time undergraduate tuition rate in every term in which they seek to receive institutional scholarships or grant funds.

Annual scholarship amounts are divided evenly between the fall and spring semesters only. Scholarships are renewable annually and require a minimum GPA to be maintained.

Being the best Scholarship Portal in the world, we have come to update students based on their searches.

Complete the FAFSA. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid determines your eligibility for all federal, state and UT need-based aid programs. First-time applicants should complete the FAFSA as soon after Oct. 1 as possible for the following academic year.

  • Submit the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.gov. Remember to complete the signature requirements described in the instructions. Filing online is the best method for reducing errors and processing time. However, if you need a paper application, call (800) 4-FED-AID.
  • IMPORTANT: List UT, Tampa, FL, on your FAFSA so your information is sent directly to UT. The federal school code for UT is 001538. Estimate your income taxes if not completed yet.
  • Dependent students must report parental information on the FAFSA. Learn more about dependency status.
  • Apply early. Aid is awarded on a funds-available basis.

Review your Student Aid Report (SAR). After filing the FAFSA or renewal application, you’ll receive a Student Aid Report from the U.S. Department of Education’s Central Processing System to the address on your FAFSA application. If you filed electronically, the SAR is sent to the email address on your FAFSA application. Learn more about the SAR and award notification.

Re-apply each year. You must re-file the FAFSA every year. Aid generally is renewed if you demonstrate satisfactory academic progress, financial need (based on the result of your FAFSA renewal application) and funds remain available. Learn more about financial aid renewal
