The University of the West of England is inviting applications for the UWE MSc International Management Scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Following graduation, recipients will also be expected to be active members of the UWE Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programs to prospective students.

The University of the West of England is delighted to invite applications for an MSc scholarship in international management for international students.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have either an unconditional offer or a conditional offer based on either a predicted 1st class degree or IELTS if required.

Scholarships cover 50% of the tuition fee. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

The investment component lasts up to 12 months and begins after having successfully completed the modules taught. The University will provide expert advice and help you find an internship, but the final responsibility for obtaining an internship is yours.

We can not guarantee that you will do an internship, but simply give the opportunity.

As the internship is an assessed part of the course, it is covered by the student’s level 4 visa.

This course includes a field trip of 3 to 5 days to the EU / UK (optional for beginners in September 2022).

The purpose of this study trip is to provide you with a practical and intensive experience of working ideas and practices in a global business environment.

You will have the opportunity to visit organizations and agencies, as well as partner institutions abroad.

Scholarship Worth

Up to 2 scholarships are available (one for September 2022 start and one for January 2021 start). The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the study.

The scholarships cover 50% of the tuition fee. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

This excursion is optional for beginners in September 2022 and will have an additional cost of approx. £500, visa fees not included, if necessary to travel.

The cost of the trip is included in tuition costs for beginners in January of 2022. However, you will have to pay for a visa if you need to travel.

Eligibility

Selection will be based on academic excellence. To obtain a master’s degree in international administration, you must obtain 180 credits.

English Requirement

You will need a specialized degree of 2.2 or higher in any subject. You will study the following mandatory modules:

Evaluating the Global Context – it covers the economic, social and strategic external challenges that affect companies that operate across borders. It will provide you with concepts and frameworks that will allow you to analyze the environment in which multinational organizations operate and link acquired knowledge with strategic and operational decisions.

The Strategic Context -presents the administration problems that affect international business operations. It will explore different approaches and perceptions that shape companies and allow them to analyze the environment in which multinational companies operate and link acquired knowledge with strategic and operational decisions.

Research in a Global Business Environment -familiarizes you with the importance of acquiring and using knowledge and evidence to inform management decision-making and academic studies.

It will also include markets, financial tools, and techniques for making financial decisions.

It is designed to allow you to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to collect, critically evaluate, interpret and apply interdisciplinary knowledge in international management and function as a professional.

People and Global Organisations – provides a critical and interrogative understanding of people and organizations in an international context.

It will present a range of theoretical perspectives and empirical research on organizational behavior and human resource management. Will develop the ability to explore a variety of perspectives to analyze people working in an intercultural context.

The concept of service: design and delivery– provides an understanding of marketing and service operations, from planning to implementation.
