Candidates for the Voya Unsung Heroes Awards must be:

• Employed in state-approved public or private K-12 school in the United States.
• Full-time educators, teachers, principals, employees or classified employees with effective and innovative projects that enhance student learning.
• All Kindergarten to Grade 12 training professionals, whether Voya Financial® clients or not, are eligible. Non-profit groups are not eligible i.e., 501(c), etc. Applications must be verified by the school superintendent, principal or applicant’s immediate supervisor. If selected as a finalist, the school office will be contacted to verify your employment status and proposed project.

Level/Field of Study

The Voya Unsung Heroes Scholarship is specifically meant for full-time educators, teachers, principals, employees or classified employees with effective and innovative projects that enhance student learning.
