Warburg Long Term Research Fellowships in Intellectual and Cultural History

Warburg Institute is delighted to invite applications for the Long Term Research Fellowships in Intellectual and Cultural History. Eligible candidates are expected to be in the early stages of their careers. The winning fellows will receive salary up to £ 28,954. To apply, all required materials must received no later than 24 November 2017.

Award Value
The starting salary of the Fellowship is expected to be approx £ 30,512 pro rata for nine months including London Allowance (value as at 31.7.2017 – small increase due in August 2018). Payment will be made monthly in arrears and is liable to deductions for tax and National Insurance.

Eligibility and Criteria
The Fellowships are generally intended for scholars in the early stages of their careers. Candidates may be pre- or postdoctoral but must have completed at least one year’s research on their doctoral dissertation by the time they submit their application for a Fellowship and, if postdoctoral, must normally have been awarded their doctorate within the preceding five years, i.e. after 1 October 2012. If their doctorate was awarded before this date, candidates must make a clear case in their application for any modification of this general rule.
