Early Life

He was born in 1972 in Missouri. His childhood was not smooth at all. Eminem dropped out of school in the 9th grade and worked odd jobs to foot bills and feed himself.

He attended Lincoln High School in Warren, Michigan. He failed the ninth grade three times, and at 17, he dropped out. Even though he performed poorly at school, he loved comic books and had a thing for language. He was often seen studying the dictionary.

Eminem’s father- Marshal Mathers Jr. abandoned his family when Eminem was an infant. Eminem never knew him and all his attempts to reach his father when he was a child were futile.

He was raised by his mother, who was addicted to drugs and constantly subjected him to emotional and physical abuse. His mother denied all Eminem’s accusations against her in his songs and subsequently filed a defamation suit against him. They settled for $25,000.

Eminem was 15 when he met Kim Ann Scott. Her stepfather had sexually abused her multiple times and came to live with Eminem and his mother. Soon after, they dated.
