Joyce Meyer also became an active member of Fenton’s Life Christian Center’s charismatic church where she ascended through the ranks of this church and eventually became an associate pastor.
She also became a Bible teacher at this church, and she began broadcasting a 15-minute radio program on a St. Louis radio station.
She was allowed to retire from her position as associate pastor of this church in 1985 after which she later established her own ministry, ‘Life in the Word.’
On her husband’s advice, she began airing her own TV show, ‘Enjoying Everyday Life,’ in 1993, which she continues to air to this day.
