Barnes W. Rose, Jr. Eva Rosa The Nicole Scholarship Foundation was founded in 2003 in memory of Rose and Eva. Barnes graduated from the University of Albuquerque in 1951 and West Point in 1957. Eva lived in New Mexico for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation will be awarding applicants a scholarship to help them complete a degree in science, engineering<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0 and mathematics<\/a><\/strong> (STEM). Priority would be given to chemistry students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Requirements for admission: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Must have at least a 3.6 GPA demonstrate financial need, and pursue a degree in one of the STEM specialties. A personal essay should discuss the professional goals of STEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This opportunity was duly established by Albuquerque businessman C.E. Woodcock and his wife, Dixie, to support candidates with the desire to excel in science and math.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award fund will be awarded to Albuquerque metro area high school graduating seniors (including Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, and Torrance Counties); scholarships are consistently payable for over four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
