What is life like at Allen High School? Allen High School offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with a strong emphasis on technology and the sciences. Students benefit from a strong commitment from the faculty, staff, and administration to nurture and challenge every student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Kindergarten through an 8th-grade academic program, students are taught in small homerooms, each with a specially trained teacher. In the 9th through the 12th-grade program, students are taught in traditional classrooms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities that challenge them to develop their interests and skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission Process of Allison Middle School <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Allison Middle School and Duncan Middle School accept applications for admission to Allen High School. Applications must be completed by each Middle School Student or parent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications will be returned to the home office in the form of a pdf file to the student’s homeroom teacher. All Allen High School Admissions application packets are now being sent home with all 9th- 12th-grade students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school’s enrollment process begins in the 8th grade when families submit the application. Once accepted, families are notified through letters and a class tour. Families can visit on an academic field trip, which takes place during 8th grade. Those who don’t have the time can go on an admissions day in 7th grade. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allen is a selective school, meaning that the acceptance rate is high (80%) and the class sizes are small (around 260 students). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allen’s “Signature Program” Allen’s hallmark program is actually a combination of 3 different programs. The Academic program offers an enhanced, accelerated, college-prep curriculum. Most 8th graders take the SAT or ACT. If you are accepted into the academy, you must meet standards in all subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the admission criteria?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Allen High School is an academically challenging, state-of-the-art, college preparatory school. The school uses the Common Application, along with the MAP and ACT as standardized tests in determining the students\u2019 qualifications for admission to their high school. There is an acceptance rate of approximately 20-25% each year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the requirements to apply?  <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New applications will be accepted for the 2022 school year. As with the current application cycle, students and parents are encouraged to apply to Allen High School using the online system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you’ve filled out the online application, you will be directed to one of several versions of the ACT or SAT, the College Board Advanced Placement or PSAT, or the Career Builder entry form. The exact form you will need depends on what high school you are attending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
