The\u00a0Veteran of Foreign War (VFW)\u00a0proudly presents the\u00a0Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program<\/strong>. The scholarship is open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a public, private, or parochial high school or home study program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students<\/a> <\/strong>with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., March 3-7, 2023, to tour the city, and it’s Auxiliary and receive their portion of $154,000 in national awards, the top scholarship being $30,000 award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VFW established the Voice of Democracy program<\/strong> (VOD) in 1947 to allow the students<\/strong> to express themselves regarding democratic ideas and principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements and are recognized for the sacrifices, are the vision of VFW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
