For demonstrating superior educational achievement, outstanding leadership,<\/a><\/strong> and a true love of the game, one scholarship winner will be selected to receive the Ken C. Hicks Scholarship. This winner will be in receipt of an additional $5,000 award, which will make for a total of $25,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The following will be the criteria on which the applicants will be judged: strong moral character and embodiment of good sportsmanship; confidence and enthusiasm about being a leader; passion and commitment to empowering their communities; demonstrated academic excellence; diversity; other key attributes, such as being proactive and highly motivated, inspiring and charismatic, honest and trustworthy, genuine, strong and courageous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Semi-finalists will be interviewed via Skype in late January.
