About MTN Youth Skilling Program 2023 For Young Ugandans
This youth skilling program equips the youth with the right practical knowledge and skills to be able the youths to provide IT solutions to solve the community problem amidst the developing digital world.
In this program, you’ll focus on skills that drive the co-creation of innovative digital products and solutions to solve Uganda’s biggest problems in education, youth empowerment, health, and agriculture.
In addition, the MTN youth skilling program will be implemented in partnership with the Ubunifu system, software development, and ICT innovation firm.

How Does The MTN Youth Skilling Program Work?
- There will be a call for an application via MTN digital channels, and there will be a selection of 100 successful applicants to join the program for each cycle.
- After that, they will pay for the study and acquire the International Computer Driver’s License (ICDL) certificate for the chosen 100 applicants. And only those will have successfully acquired this certificate will proceed to the next level.
- Furthermore, the next level will bring the successful candidates together into a 10-week session that will bring hands-on training in technical and business skills in the areas of Education, Agriculture, Health, and Youth Empowerment.
- Finally, they will take the most successful ideas and solutions to identify problems to the MTN Incubation program, where they will receive mentorship and support to deliver a public good ICT solution designed for their community.
Eligibility Requirement
To be eligible for the great opportunity and be a partaker of this program, you need to be
You need to be a young innovator
As a youth, you must be employed in SMEs
Also, you must be a university graduate that is interested in technology and the improvement and betterment of the communities across Uganda.
Between the age of 20 – 35 years
Have an advanced-level education certificate
Possess a working email address and a registered MTN Sim Card
Furthermore, have a National ID.
Host Nationality MTN Youth Skilling Program
Uganda hosts the youth skilling program.
