California Baptist University Academic Scholarships for International Undergraduate Students

Scholarship Overview

Many international students at CBU receive some type of financial aid. Financial aid for international students is based on academic achievement, financial need, and involvement at CBU. See our full list of scholarships below: 

Incoming Freshmen

Ambassador’s Scholarship

• $12,000 per year
• 3.5 cumulative weighted GPA and above

Diplomat’s Scholarship*

• $9,000 per year
• 3.0-3.49 cumulative weighted GPA

*Must meet the language requirement

Incoming Domestic Transfers

Navigator’s Scholarship

• $8,000 per year
• 3.3 GPA and above

Explorer’s Scholarship

• $6,000 per year 
• 3.00-3.29 GPA 

**To be considered a domestic transfer student, you must have completed 24 or more units from a regionally accredited institution within the United States.

• Need-Based Grants Global Initiatives Grant
  • Up to $10,000 per year
  • Grant based upon financial need as determined.
  • International financial aid application required.
  • Must be accepted as a CBU student in order to receive grant and application. 
• Department Scholarships Athletic Scholarships
  Available for men’s basketball, baseball, diving, soccer, swimming, water polo, cross country and track, and golf. For women, scholarships are available for basketball, softball, diving, soccer, swimming, water polo, cross country and track, volleyball, dance and cheer. • Drama Scholarships
  Scholarships are awarded for participation in department productions, the drama ministry or Team CELEBRATION! For further information, contact the theatre department at (951) 343-4319.Speech and Debate Scholarships – Up to $2,000 per year
