Plymouth University is pleased to offer international student scholarships for September 2022 intake. The scholarships are available for pursuing both the Undergraduate and Masters degree programs.
Applicants for an undergraduate degree must be the equivalent of a UK honours degree, as specified by UK NARIC. IELTS score must be 6.5 overall. Scholarships can be taken in the UK. Plymouth University offers a range of financial support to help applicants during their time with the university.

Plymouth University Scholarships for Undergraduate Students
1. Undergraduate International Student Scholarship
This scholarship will be offered automatically, as long as it meets the eligibility criteria. A separate application will not be necessary exceptions:

Scholarship Worth
£2,000 off the candidate tuition fees will be deducted in year one. To recognize continued academic success, you may also receive:
- 10% discount on tuition fees in the following years if an overall score of 60% or more is maintained
- 20% discount on tuition fees in successive years if an overall score of 70% or more is maintained.
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must:
- Get a higher grade above your academic offer.
- Meet our standard English language requirements.

2. International Academic Excellence Scholarship
For International Academic Excellence Scholarship, an application must be submitted to be eligible for this scholarship.
Level/Field of Study: Please note that the courses offered by the following schools are not included in the International Undergraduate Scholarship Program:
- Peninsula Dental School
- Peninsula Medical School
- School of Art, Design, and Architecture.
- Faculty of Biomedical Sciences
- School of Health Professions
- School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Scholarship Worth: 50% off the candidate tuition fees will be deducted in year one.To recognize continued academic success, you may also receive 50% off the successive years’ tuition fee, if an overall grade of 70% or above is maintained.
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must:
- Have an exceptional academic record
- Meet our standard English language requirements
- Have an unconditional/conditional offer letter from the University of Plymouth
Application Deadline: The closing date to apply for this scholarship is 30th of June every year.

3. School of Psychology – International Undergraduate Gold Scholarship
To reward outstanding achievement, the University of Plymouth offers scholarship programs to help you finance your studies.
Scholarship Worth: £4000 off the candidate tuition fees will be deducted in year one. To recognize continued academic success, you may also receive:
- 10% discount on tuition fees for the following year if an overall grade of 60% or more is maintained
- 20% discount on tuition fees for the following year if an overall score of 70% or more is maintained.
Eligibility: This scholarship is available to international students who have fulfilled the conditions of their offer of studies at the University of Plymouth for the following programs:

If you are studying to obtain a full-time two-year postdoctoral degree to recognize your continued academic success, you may also receive:
10% discount on tuition fees for the following year, if an overall grade of 60% or more is maintained.
Eligibility: To be eligible, you must:
- Achieve the equivalent of a good UK 2: 1-degree classification.
- Meet our standard English language requirements

- Have an exceptional academic record
- Meet our standard English language requirements.

3. School of Psychology – International Postgraduate Platinum Scholarship
University of Plymouth programme: MSc Advanced Psychology, Psychology MSc / PgDip, Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Carve out your future career in psychological research or practice with instruction in the advanced theory and methods that underpin psychological science.
Level/Field of Study: This scholarship is available to international students who have fulfilled the conditions of their offer of studies at the University of Plymouth for the following programs:

Scholarship Worth: £4000 off the candidate tuition fees will be deducted in year one.

4. Alumnus loyalty reward for postgraduate study
As of September 2018, the University will apply a discretionary award to alumni who meet certain criteria for certain graduate courses.
Level/Field of Study: PGCE programmes, Master of Architecture, MChem, MEng, MGeol, MPsych, MSci, ResM and postgraduate research degrees are not included in this reward
Scholarship Worth:
- a 20% discount on home/EU tuition fees
- or a £2,000 discount on international tuition fees for the student.

Plymouth University Scholarships for International Students Application Deadline
The closing date to apply for this scholarship is the 30th of June 2022. In order to confirm the scholarship we’ll need to receive all documents specified in your offer letter and they’ll need to have met all the conditions of their offer.
The sooner you send your documentation the better, as you need to allow enough time for the visa application process in your own country (if applicable).
