There’s an average pay between $15-$20 per hour, regardless of an applicant’s qualifications.

This is a company that requires you to teach English online with no certificate. It enables you to engage in short chat sessions with students from around the world via webcam. No experience is necessary. The students are often adults.

Cambly accepts native English-speakers from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia as well as some other countries.

PalFish is an app-based platform, that is, you need the application on your iOS (Apple) or Android cell phone/tablet. It is an online company to teaches English online with no certificate.

You can teach both one-on-one and larger groups of students and Non-native English speaking teachers are encouraged to apply as there is no restriction to nationality.

Requirements: To apply, you must be fluent in English, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be creative and energetic, and be passionate about teaching students English. In addition, you must have a valid teaching certification (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA) or a teaching license to teach with PalFish.

The SkimaTalk is almost exclusively for native English speakers with American, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Irish/English dialects. Also, you can teach English without a teaching certificate.

Requirements: To apply, you must be a native English speaker, 18 years of age or older, prior teaching experience/training is preferred but not required, must have a reliable internet connection, then commitment, passion, and professionalism. 

SkimaTalk charges a fee of 20% of whatever session price you set. The remaining 80% is sent to you after deducting the PayPal fee. The payment is once a month.

#4 Lingoda

Lingoda is the leading company in Europe to teach English online with no certificate. The subjects taught asides from English also includes German, French, and Spanish. This online company provides the teachers with lesson materials.

Requirements: To apply to be a teacher, you must have at least 2 years of teaching experience, hold an ESL teaching certification (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA), and you must be a native speaker of the language you wish to teach (in this case, English). You must also be legally able to work as a freelancer. 

Pay: Pay ranges from €7 – €11 per hour (~$7.85 – $12.34 USD per hour).

Application  Process: There are two ways you can apply to teach with Lingoda:

#5 Open English

Open English is still the market leader in online English learning in Latin America. Small group and private classes run 24/7, with on-demand, interactive content, and native English-speaking teachers.

Requirements: Qualified EFL/ESL professionals who are native to America, North American English teachers are to provide services as Academic consultations. Those without a degree must have a TEFL/TESOL certificate and at least 1 year of EFL/ESL teaching experience. Preference is given to candidates that can also speak Spanish or Portuguese. There are other technical and classroom experiences required but you’d find out while applying.

The pay is up to $15 per hour.

Open English is a great option for those who currently have a busy schedule working or studying, and have availability during evenings hours (USA ET). Teachers must teach for a minimum of 10 hours each week and a maximum of 26 – 36 hours a week.

Application Process:  After completing the application, your application will be reviewed and may be held until there is a position available. You may be asked to complete an interview or video recording.

#6 SayABC

Are you currently a university student in your last year? You can apply to work with SayABC. This online company to teach English requires no degree. Although they will prefer you to have some teaching experience if you’re in your last year of university you are more than qualified.SayABC would love to hear from you.

This teaches English online with no certificate company pays $15 per 40-minute class and $21 per hour for their major courses. At SayABC there is a group class and trial class where you can receive a bonus for teaching.

The class is for 40 minutes and you will teach one to 4 students who are between 5 and 12 years of age. Also, they are scheduled by the company a week in advance based on your availability. See why it is best for university students? It is a popular company to teach English online with.

LatinHire is an outsourcing company specializing in online education.  They recruit and manage talent for some of the largest education companies in the world. Here you teach English and other courses online with no degree.

This is one of the platforms I’m conversant with.

With this teach online platform, you get paid for every minute they teach or wait for students.

For the application, complete and submit an application form. After the review, they will contact you to start the application process. If your profile doesn’t meet any of their current needs, you will be put on a waiting list and they will contact you as soon as they need to recruit tutors in your area of knowledge.

Preply is one of the platforms we recommend to teach English online without a certificate. Also, they teach languages other than English.

Requirements: All you need to teach online is not a degree but a stable internet connection, a microphone, and a webcam. Preply has its own video platform where you conduct lessons.

It is important you know that this online company to teach English online with no degree takes a 100% commission fee for your first lesson payment with every new student. Then for all subsequent lessons, the commission is between 3 – 18% and it depends on the number of lesson hours completed. In essence, the more you teach, the less commission you pay.
