Requirements: To apply, you must be a native English speaker, 18 years of age or older, prior teaching experience/training is preferred but not required, must have a reliable internet connection, then commitment, passion, and professionalism.

Lingoda is the leading company in Europe to teach English online with no certificate. The subjects taught asides from English also includes German, French, and Spanish. This online company provides the teachers with lesson materials.

Requirements: To apply to be a teacher, you must have at least 2 years of teaching experience, hold an ESL teaching certification (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA), and you must be a native speaker of the language you wish to teach (in this case, English). You must also be legally able to work as a freelancer. 

Pay: Pay ranges from €7 – €11 per hour (~$7.85 – $12.34 USD per hour).

#5 Open English

Open English is still the market leader in online English learning in Latin America. Small group and private classes run 24/7, with on-demand, interactive content, and native English-speaking teachers.

Requirements: Qualified EFL/ESL professionals who are native to America, North American English teachers are to provide services as Academic consultations. Those without a degree must have a TEFL/TESOL certificate and at least 1 year of EFL/ESL teaching experience. Preference is given to candidates that can also speak Spanish or Portuguese. There are other technical and classroom experiences required but you’d find out while applying.

The pay is up to $15 per hour.

Open English is a great option for those who currently have a busy schedule working or studying, and have availability during evenings hours (USA ET). Teachers must teach for a minimum of 10 hours each week and a maximum of 26 – 36 hours a week.

Are you currently a university student in your last year? You can apply to work with SayABC. This online company to teach English requires no degree. Although they will prefer you to have some teaching experience if you’re in your last year of university you are more than qualified.SayABC would love to hear from you.

This teaches English online with no certificate company pays $15 per 40-minute class and $21 per hour for their major courses. At SayABC there is a group class and trial class where you can receive a bonus for teaching.

This is one of the platforms I’m conversant with.

With this teach online platform, you get paid for every minute they teach or wait for students.

For the application, complete and submit an application form. After the review, they will contact you to start the application process. If your profile doesn’t meet any of their current needs, you will be put on a waiting list and they will contact you as soon as they need to recruit tutors in your area of knowledge.

Requirements: All you need to teach online is not a degree but a stable internet connection, a microphone, and a webcam. Preply has its own video platform where you conduct lessons.

It is important you know that this online company to teach English online with no degree takes a 100% commission fee for your first lesson payment with every new student. Then for all subsequent lessons, the commission is between 3 – 18% and it depends on the number of lesson hours completed. In essence, the more you teach, the less commission you pay.
