Undergraduate Admission
Certain general and course-specific requirements are to be met by applicants enrolling for an undergraduate program at the University of Glasgow. The Universit of Glasgow requires all applicants to have an extensive range of qualifications, as the admission process is quite competitive.
Enlisted on the university website is acceptable qualification standards for Access to HE Diploma, Cambridge Pre-U, the Scottish Highers, A levels, BTEC level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma, the Welsh Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate, and Advanced Highers.
As part of the required application process, applicants to undergraduate degree programs like Community Development, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, History of Art and Art-world practice, Music, Nursing, and some other courses will pass through an interview stage, and candidates applying to Law will also be required to take the Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT). At the same time, those applying to Medicine and Dentistry will also be required to take the United Kingdom Clinical Aptitude Test (UKCAT).
All applications to the university should be sent through (UCAS). Applicants should also note that any qualification achieved 7 or more years from the date of entry will not be considered.
Postgraduate Admission
Research Master’s degrees and Doctorates are the two types of degrees offered at the University of Glasgow. This Postgraduate degree programs is usually open to persons who are already in possession of a Master’s degree.
For these programs, students are to carry out research work under the supervision of an academic staff member. Postgraduate research students do not have to attend formal seminars or lectures just as it is in Postgraduate Taught courses and their project is not formally evaluated until their final thesis has been submitted.
Applicants to these Programmes are advised to identify and contact a potential supervisor before proceeding with application. Applicants must have achieved a first or second-class upper honors degree (or an international equivalent). For some courses offered by this institution, a Master’s qualification might be required.
The University of Glasgow Tuition
The tuition fees paid by students of this university are dependent on the course of study. For the 2023 sessions, the tuition fees ranged between £27,750 and £46,250 for EU/UK undergraduate students and between £16,000 and £42,000 for international students. This is On an exclusive note.
