Bakala Foundation Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships for Czech Students, 2017

Bakala Foundation inviting applications for up to 113 scholarships from Czech students for the academic year 2017-2018. Scholarships are intended for students of basic university programs (undergraduate studies) and continuing students (graduate studies).

The scholarship mission is to provide talented and committed young people with the opportunity to achieve academic success and subsequently fulfilling their goals in life. Foundation hope that the scholarship recipients will feel a responsibility to those less fortunate in life should not, and will seek part of his fortune to return by helping the needy.

Bakala Foundation is a family foundation Czech Zdenek and Michaela Bakala. It was founded in 2007 to promote the study of talented students at prestigious universities abroad through the Scholarship Program. The Foundation, with its spread support for education and implementation of other programs for young talents the unique foundation in the Czech Republic. During the past years, he has awarded scholarships to a hundred students who are promoted in many areas of natural and human sciences, culture or public life or in corporations in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Course Level: Scholarships are intended for students of basic university programs (undergraduate studies) and continuing students (graduate studies).

Study Subject: No field of study does not preclude nor favour. The foundation goal is to encourage students of different focus and interests, which then translates into greater competition in the selection of students from some popular disciplines such as economics, mathematics and physics, international relations, and more.

Scholarship Award: Payment of tuition and accommodation will be made directly to the account of the university by the deadline required the particular university. Amount to cover the cost of living will be transferred to your account at the time of commencement of studies.

Scholarship can be taken in the Czech Republic

Eligibility: Criteria for logging into the program Scholarship 2017

  • Czech citizenship or permanent residence permit in the Czech Republic
  • age to 33 years old / the date of filing of the application

Nationality: Students from the Czech Republic are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

How to Apply: The mode of application is online. An essay on one of these topics with a maximum of 600 words in the English language is part of the electronic application. For this year, was chosen the following topics:

  • Can an Individual Influence sustainability of natural resources? How is one supposed to act in order to contribute that the process of maintaining & life on Earth?
  • That’s what should extent medicine and mankind interferes in the matters of life and death? Are doctor-assisted suicides, abortions, artificial insemination, etc. crossing the line?
  • What is the fascinating example of progress in your field over the last 100 years and how it can Influence the future of the field? (Write as if for intelligent readers outside your field.)

Application Deadline: The deadline for applications is May 15, 2017.
