Cambridge International School Scholarships for Kenyans, 2018

Applicants are invited to apply for GEMS Cambridge International School Scholarships programme. There are ten scholarships are available for year 9 Kenyan students.

The aim of the scholarships is to reward and encourage excellence of students.

GEMS Cambridge International School Nairobi (CIN) is committed to recognising and supporting student excellence.

Course Level: These scholarships are available for year 9 students.

Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in the fields offered by the school.

Scholarship Award:  100% scholarships may be awarded in exceptional circumstances.

Number of Scholarships: Ten scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in Kenya

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants of Kenya are eligible for these scholarships.

Nationality: Applications are open for Kenyan applicants.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous year degree.

  • Personal Suitability
    Your Personal Statement should be no more than 1 page and should include the following:
    Information about yourself which supports your application.
    Why you have chosen to study at GEMS CIN.
    What you think you will achieve personally, academically and socially?
    Any extra-curricular activities you are involved in which you feel support your application (for example impact on community involvement, memberships of sporting or community clubs and associations).
    Why you think you would be a good ambassador for GEMS CIN
    Attitude / experience
    Any international experience, civic /social engagement
    Your contribution to the diversity of the student body.
  • Portfolio of Supporting Evidence
    Strength of Academics and/or Sport / Creative Arts,
    Academic Performance – grades/transcripts, general academic qualification, linguistic qualification.
    Photographic / Documentary Evidence
    Work Experience.
  • Attitude and Performance
    Commitment to achievement
    Impact on community
    Compelling evidence of motivation to study at GEMS CIN.

  • Personal Handwritten Essay
    The Principal is responsible for managing the administration of scholarships.
    Scholarships are available at three points of entry in the Senior School but assessments for scholarships may be conducted at any time throughout the year.
    Applicants may enter for a scholarship no more than twice in any one year.
