Doctor of Chiropractic Program Requirements

Below is CUKC’s admission process and requirements for the Doctor of Chiropractic program:

  • Complete a formal online application to the program along with the non-refundable application fee.
  • Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions.
  • Meet physical requirements.
  • A non-refundable tuition deposit, which is credited to the first trimester’s tu­ition, is required within 60 days after being accepted into the program.
    6 hours of English or Communications
    3 hours of Psychology
    12 hours of Humanities and/or Social Sciences courses
    24 hours of Life and Physical Sciences courses to include: Courses in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and 8 hours of General and Organic Chemistry is recommended
    Electives to fulfill the required 90 semester hours.

Master of Science Program Requirement

Below are CUKC’s admission requirements for the Master of Science program:

  • Formal online application to the program along with the non-refundable application fee.
  • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institu­tion
  • Professional resume, including references.
  • A professional statement
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
  • A non-refundable tuition deposit, which is credited to the first trimester’s tu­ition, is required within 60 days after being accepted into the program.

Bachelor of Science Program Requirements

Below is CUKC’s admission process and requirements for the Bachelor of Science program:

  • Complete a formal online application to the program along with the non-refundable application fee.
  • Submit your official high school transcript showing a date of graduation and a minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale. (A GED credential certification or verification from an accredited appropriate home-school agency will also satisfy this requirement.)
  • Submit official ACT or SAT composite test scores. Requires composite test score of 21 or above for the ACT or 1060 or more for the SAT. (The ACT code is 6545.)
  • Submit official post-secondary transcript(s) reflecting successful completion of at least 24 college semester units with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale if you have completed college credits. Applicants with 24 college credits do not need to submit ACT/SAT scores or high school transcripts.
  • A non-refundable tuition deposit, which is credited to the first trimester’s tu­ition, is required within 60 days after being accepted into the program.

Associate of Arts Program Requirements

Below is CUKC’s admission process and requirements for the Associate of Arts program:

  • Complete a formal online application to the program along with the non-refundable application fee.
  • Submit your official high school transcript, or equivalent. Or, if you have 24 college credits, submit those official transcripts.
  • Submit your ACT/SAT score, if you have less than 24 total college credit hours. Requires an ACT composite test score of 21 or above or an SAT composite test score of 1060 or above.
  • A non-refundable tuition deposit, which is credited to the first trimester’s tu­ition, is required within 60 days after being accepted into the program.

Provisional Admissions

Applicants with 24 college credits must not submit ACT/SAT scores or a high school transcript. However, they must submit official post-secondary transcript(s) reflecting successful completion of at least 24 college units.

Associate of Applied Science Program Requirements

Basically, admission to Cleveland University-Kansas City is separate from admission to the A.A.S. degree program.

So, as an applicant seeking admission to an Associate of Applied Science program, you must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Submit a completed online Application for Admission to the Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences at Cleveland University-Kansas City with your application fee and official high school or college transcripts.
  • Submit official test scores, an ACT composite test score of 21 or above, or an SAT composite test score of 1060 or above.
  • Successfully complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better and a grade of B or better for science courses.
  • Submit proof of all immunizations and proof of a current physical examination.
  • Pass required drug screenings and background checks.
  • Meet physical requirements and demonstrate the ability to deliver services safely and effectively with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Upon acceptance to CUKC and successful completion of the A.A.S. prerequisites, selected applicants will participate in a professional panel interview.

Incoming Prospective Student Scholarship Application

  • $5,000 to $15,000 Academic Achievement Scholarship Awards: The academic achievement scholarship awards are competitively disbursed every trimester to first-time Cleveland students. The awards range from $5,000 to $15,000, disbursed evenly throughout the 10-trimester curriculum. Up to four scholarships may be awarded each trimester via the Office of Financial Aid. To apply, you must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.30. 
  • $1,800 to $9,000 CUKC A+ Scholarship: CUKC offers this competitive scholarship to eligible KC Metro students applying to the school’s Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences or the Bachelor of Science in Human Biology program. Requirements include, but are not limited to, having a minimum high school GPA of 3.25, an ACT score of 21 or higher, and an attendance record of 95% for grades 9-12.
  • $1,500 Academic Merit Doctor of Chiropractic Scholarships: Two $1,500 scholarships for a first-time, full-time Cleveland student entering trimester one of the chiropractic program with an incoming cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Scholarship & Grant Opportunities

  • The 2023 CCA Auxiliary Scholarship Opportunity: All student members of the Christian Chiropractors Association who are enrolled in an accredited chiropractic college for the 2023 fall school schedule are eligible.   • Federal Pell Grant: The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based award for the maximum amount of $6,095. This grant is available to first-degree-seeking undergraduate students who show exceptional need. Your Student Aid Report determines eligibility.
