In this respect, the KNB scholarship offered by the Indonesian government provides the opportunity for potential students in developing countries to develop their knowledge and competencies that will subsequently enhance their chances to fulfill those roles back in their home countries.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP:
The scholarship is offered to potential students from the Gambia to earn their Master’s Degree at one of 16 prominent universities in Indonesia.
Officially launched in 2006 by the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, this program has been attracting a significant number of applicants, as, by 2015, 896 students from 64 countries had been awarded this scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
The scholarship requirement is as follows:
- The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 35 years old
- Applicant must hold a bachelor degree (master degree holder is not eligible to apply)
- Applicant must have a TOEFL (or other certified English Proficiency) score of 500 or equivalent
- Applicants must complete the online application form
- Prior to the departure to Indonesia, the successful candidates must sign the Statement Letter and Scholarship Agreement prepared by the KNB Scholarship management
HOW TO APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP:
- Download the Invitation Letter from the KNB Scholarship website
- Submit the Invitation letter, a scanned copy of Passport, Academic Certificates, and Academic Transcripts to the Indonesian Embassy or Indonesian Consulate to acquire the recommendation letter
- Complete the online application process.
- The Selection Results will be broadcasted online through the KNB Scholarship Website and officially announced through the Indonesian Embassy publication network.
