Duration of the Yayasan Khazanah Global Scholarship
The duration of the scholarship will be for the full course of study, as stipulated in the admission offer, subject to the general conditions of Yayasan Khazanah.
Eligibility For the Yayasan Khazanah Global Scholarship
To qualify for this Khazanah Scholarship, applicants must adhere to:
- Strong leadership skills and active participation in extracurricular, social or volunteer activities.
- Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding/prominent academic achievement record,:
For Foundation Studies
- Obtained a minimum of 8As (a combination of A and A+) in the recent SPM examination or at least 8As in the recent IGCSE.
- Obtained A or A+ in the following core subjects: Bahasa Melayu, English, History, and Mathematics (only for SPM).
- Must not 18 years of age at the enrolment date for the foundation studies.
For Undergraduate Studies
- Get admission to pursue studies (conditional offer can be considered) or currently in the first year of a Bachelor’s Degree program at any of the Yayasan Khazanah approved list of universities.
- Has a minimum of:
- 3As for STPM; or
- 3As for GCE A-Level Programme; or
- CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 for Pre-university or Diploma or Foundation or Matriculation Programme; or
- 38 points for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme; or
- 90.0 for the Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) or South Australian Matriculation (SAM) Also, has a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 / 4.00 for Bachelor’s Degree in semester exam for those who are currently in the first year of a Bachelor’s Degree Programme at any of Yayasan Khazanah’s approved list of universities.
- Must not 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Degree Programme.
For Master’s Degree
- Has a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (the UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, has a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree
- Get admission to pursue studies at renowned universities (Conditional offer can be taken into consideration)
- Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master’s program
- To provide a research outline/thesis summary (Research or mixed mode)
For PhD
- Has a distinction or ‘A’ grade average or equivalent (if there is a point system) for Master’s Degree
- Has admission or currently pursuing studies at renowned universities (Conditional offer can be considered)
- Not exceeding 40 years as at the enrolment date for the Doctorate programme
- To provide a research outline/thesis summary on the topic they intend to pursue in the Doctorate programme

Khazanah Global Scholarship Selection Process
When on, below are the key information pertaining to our overall selection status and process:
- 1st Stage: Verbal and Numerical Ability Test
- 2nd Stage: Personality and Moral Reasoning Test
- 3rd Stage: Assessment Center
Yayasan Khazanah Scholarship Interview
- 4th Stage: Interview with Yk Managing Director
- 5th Stage: Interview with Yk Trustees
Applicants need to go through 5 levels of assessment under the Khazanah Global Scholarship Programme.
Stage 1 and 2 are administered online while stage 3 combines online and face-to-face assessments. However, stages 4 and 5 are interview sessions.
