The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is a Federal agency in Nigeria. Similarly, the agency goes by decree number 48 of 1989. It was created in 1990 by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thus, the headquarters is in Lagos.

However, they eliminate the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting, and trafficking of hard drugs. Besides, the NDLEA is present in international airports, seaports, and borders in Nigeria. However, this agency tries to remove cannabis by destroying its plants.

What Is The Duty Of The NDLEA?

NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Entrance Exam Pattern

However, the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency entrance examination shall assume the following pattern:

Well, this is compulsory for all candidates (weighing 40%).  Other sections (only one section to be answered by candidates based on Faculty of choice (weighing 60%).

Important Things To Note After The NDLEA Recruitment Exercise Application

  • After submitting your application form, you wait for the second stage. This stage, however, involves shortlisting successful candidates for aptitude test examination and invitation for an interview.
  • Similarly, you will participate in the documentation and physical verification exercise once you see your name on the list.

NOTE: Please ensure you do not submit false documents to avoid disqualification.

What Is NDLEA Salary Structure?

The NDLEA salary structure is based on the grade level and steps which differentiate officers at the same level.

The structure helps to maintain order and control. The NDLEA is a paramilitary structure, and they pay their salaries using the Consolidated Paramilitary Salary Structure (CONPASS). 

However, the NDLEA salary depends on the level of education of the officers. Nonetheless, HND holders are placed on Level 7; degree holders are placed on level 8.

Besides, the annual salary for NDLEA B.sc holders in Grade Level 8 Step 1 is about ₦1,004,805, while Grade Level 8 Step 2 is about ₦1,019,357 including all allowances. Also, HND holders are placed on Grade Level 7 Step 1 is ₦573,287.

Thus, below is the calculation of the salary:

Level 8 step 1 = CONPASS + Rent Allowance

₦888,956 + ₦115,849 = ₦1,004,805 (total annual salary). i.e. ₦83,733 (monthly)

Level 7 step 1 = CONPASS + Rent Allowance

₦483,014 + ₦92,273.9 = ₦ 573,287 (total annual salary). i,e ₦44,773 (monthly)
